Even if Leon is in the game, it still doesn’t necessarily validate Dusk’s leaks (a Chris RE8-type role wouldn’t and that’s likely all it is if anything). I doubt he’s in as much of it as Dusk says he is, and it’s hardly something to sing his praises for, anyway because people would naturally expect OG Raccoon City survivors to show up in some way from the reveal trailer alone and Leon is the most obvious choice. Sure, Jill and Claire were involved in the RC outbreak event, but who’s the character fans most closely associate with it and the RPD? Leon.

Regardless, fans would be confused AF why they decided to return to Raccoon City for the franchise’s 30th anniversary and not have a single legacy character from that iconic chapter appear, hence you’re giving him credit for something literally anybody could’ve guessed and that’s before the Nick resume bombshell and all the other hints (and outright confirmation now).

Oh, and it’s virtually a lock there will be a second playable character. They outright said on the Steam page for the game that the Apocalypse costume will change Grace’s appearance only, why even say that if she’s the only playable character? Not to mention the fact that they announced 5 DLC costumes, but only revealed 1 so far is a clear hint that they’re “hiding” something. ;)

I call attention to 1.a., “having a part in something”. In this case, the characters of the series who were in Raccoon City had a part in the incident, specifically that of victims, and of uncovering the truth to present to authorities after the fact.

I also call attention to 3., “being affected”. In this case, everyone in the city was affected, including the surviving characters.

You are conflating being involved with the cause of the incident with being involved in the actual event of the incident itself. This is understandable, and I get that that’s what you meant with your comments, but the term is not limited to that, and you did not clarify in your original statement your meaning, opening it up for the more general meaning to be applied.

I wouldn’t necessarily be talking here, man, in your case. Your own responses come across with a noted air of arrogance and likely unwarranted self-assurance. I don’t go “out of [my] way” to “attempt” to prove people wrong - I simply prove them wrong, and do so when they are wrong. That’s what is supposed to happen when someone presents publicly incorrect, incomplete, or simply misrepresented information. In fairness, for this particular discussion, yours is in the incomplete category rather than flatly incorrect.

Unrelated: I still stand by my position regarding SH2R.

My point was that believing a character will be in the game doesn’t need to have any relation to Dusk’s assertions.
 
Man, waiting for this game is a drag. Anyone catch that snippet of new Grace gameplay? Looks a lot like RE2 as they’ve been saying, which is only a good thing.

Blood spray from shots looked a little…over animated? I remember it being more realistic in 2, then being exaggerated in 3 and 4. Overall though, it’s looking pretty good.

Yeah I agree. Ever since I first played RE2R I thought they need to make a new game like this and it looks like it is. Can't wait to get a better look at the gameplay though
 
Welp, mark your calendars, it’s official: RE9 will be at TGA. New trailer this Thursday.

If youknowwho is in the game, this would be the perfect time to reveal it. The RE showcase in January is too close to release to drop such a bombshell, a 2 month window leaves them just enough time to drum up hype and pre-orders before giving us a deeper dive (probably with a bigger focus on gameplay) with the Jan. showcase.
 
Leon will absolutely positively be confirmed as a leading protagonist.

I'm always right when it comes to RE stuff.

Leon will not be revealed December 11 and won't be in the game at all.

If they add him in the game at the last minute "to some degree" because of rumors and speculation then that would make them look sleazy as Hell and would open the door to too much outside influence in development.

Have faith in Leon's big appearance in RE10.

Well at least you are sticking to your guns. On December 11 not only will Leon be revealed but he will also be your profile picture ;)

Either way I'm really looking forward to this news wall being removed, and having a better look at the game.
 
Yeah. The guy who thinks Code Veronica is scary and perhaps the best in the series doesn't strike me as someone who would be prescient on how the series unfolds. ;)

Go back to granny swearing and leaving your gun cases unlocked Barry.
 
Oh yeah you two made a bet. Anyway, I can’t tell at all how serious you’re being with regards to Leon showing up in RE10, but I think that has Chris and Jill written all over it.
