Resident Evil: Requiem

I will die on the hill of Leon not being in the game whatsoever.
How about a little profile picture bet? If Leon is not revealed at the Game Awards I will change my profile picture to a chibi Leon for a month, but if he is revealed to be "in the game whatsoever" at the Game Awards then you have to change your profile picture to a chibi Leon for a month.
Anyone else is welcome to come in on the bet too.

Here is an example profile:

Dusk got you to, eh?
And why do you assume that? Firstly, I’ve never even seen anything this guy has said other than what people talk about on here. Secondly, it is virtually a certainty that a (still living) character from the series is going to appear in Requiem - because that’s just what this series does - and given the inclusion of Raccoon City and the comments of it being more like 2, Leon is the most likely pick. And thirdly, what I said was clearly a joke, meant to tease you with the idea that you’re likely to be wrong.

The debate of whether Leon will be in the game or not is not divided into People Who Believe Dusk and People Who Do Not, and if that is how you’ve simplified it down, then you’ve become perhaps too obsessed with the debate. I’m already on record here saying that I hope Leon isn’t in the game at all just to embarrass Dusk, and I think that statement makes my opinion on the matter clear. Unless of course, like my comment, yours was a joke meant to tease me about falling for Dusk’s nonsense, in which case, yours is less obvious than mine.

It's called "validation". If Leon is in the game for even a snippet, his fanboys and journos who clog the news articles with everything he says like it's gospel will pat themselves on the back and continue to pollute the RE ecosystem.

That's unacceptable to me, so consider guns and roses around my grave to be lesser evil. I'm taking one for the team here.

It is annoying when you are hanging out for RE news only to discover it's another article or video based on something Dusk tweeted, when what you really want is real news from Capcom, but don't let Dusk affect your opinion about Leon being in a new Resident Evil.

The bet is officially on then ... I can't wait to see you posting as Chibi Leon :D

Read this very closely, everybody, and try to understand what this actually means. ;)
Well, I would assume that it means any character we see in games 2, 3, Outbreak, File 2, either Chronicles, either remake, Operation, and quite possibly that weird animated movie that was made way back when, is eligible to appear in some way, shape, form, manner, degree, context, or capacity.

Please tell us, what does it mean?

Leon, Claire, Sherry, Ada, etc. weren't "involved" in the incident, they got caught up in it.

The people "involved" were who? Umbrella, The parents of Sherry Birkins, etc. What this means here is that there are going to be characters who were part of Umbrella or cooperating with Umbrella and helped start the incident in RC, in this game. It's very interesting how such people could be hiding out in the ruins of Raccoon City all this time.

We will wait and see how this plays out. :)

I think you’re confusing “involved with” and “responsible for.” Umbrella, the Birkins, and the US Military (and by extension, the Family), were both responsible for and involved in the Raccoon City Incident. The playable characters of the series like Leon and Co. were caught up in and involved in the incident as well. Being in Raccoon City during that event at all means being involved in it.

If I am at a grocery store simply shopping and minding my own business and suddenly, by shock and surprise, there is an active shooter, I am not "involved" with the incident, I am simply "caught up" in the incident and the emergency responses (police) also weren't "involved", they were responding to those involved in the incident.

It’s a situation, and if you are present during it, you are involved in that situation. You may not be involved in the planning or the setup; you may in fact get caught up in it, to use your term, but you are still involved in the incident itself, even as a bystander, simply by being a bystander to the incident.

The official definition of the word seems to agree with me here.

You almost sound like you are trolling man, the way you go out of your way to attempt to try to prove people wrong. You have done this in numerous threads. Trying to assert that Silent Hill 2 doesn't need a remake when In fact the remake is arguably better than the original comes to mind here.
