Resident Evil 5 RE5 unreleased storyboard...?

Holy... You guys have got to see this. A little warning though, that some parts of it contain a wee bit of spoilers. Well, not exactly the precise spoilers, but it's pretty close.

Is this the possible RE4.5 we were anticipating since the first trailers of RE5 arrived? The images are very fascinating, as it shows a different story.

Some observations of mine:

1. Chris will rescue Jill sometime later, and join him. It seems that Sheva was originally planned to be part of the story after all, and would accompany Chris most of the time. On a side note, she'll also meet Jill. Do I sense a 3-player multiplayer game here?

2. The enemies look like zombies or rather, they ARE zombies! Even more... they're affected by the Las Plagas.

3. Tyrant kills Excella. So there's a tyrant. Why didn't they release that? =\

4. Is that... A DESERT AREA? AND A BIG OL' BOAT IN THE MIDDLE OF IT? THAT AREA WOULD'VE BEEN AWESOME... why o why didn't they include that?

5. Excella looks... gorgeous. She seems to have a bigger part of the story, but then again, she gets impaled by the Tyrant at the end. What a pity.

6. Chris is less bulky. lol.

7. I wonder who that old man is. He's talking to Chris (and seems to be Sheva) over the candle light. The original "butcher", maybe?

8. A flashback of Wesker taking Jill? Wow... it would've been great to include that scene! I'm even using that image now as a signature, I think it looks awesome.

9.Irving has longer hair!

10. There's an image with a blond-haired man seated on a char, and roughly, I could see the facial hair on his face. He doesn't seem to be Wesker... Unless, that's Irving with another snazzy change? LOL. There's another image where he gets shot by Wesker, so I guess the only possible explanation is that he's Irving.

11. Sheva shoots Wesker and he loses an eye. That's... kind of odd. :blink:

That certainly looks interesting. Definitely more interesting that what we got as a final product. The plot points look more relevant to the RE storyline, instead of "Here's Las Plaga. Go kill Las Plaga." for 3/4 of the game. The zombies even look... kinda scary. Oh, what could have been.

Ah yes, i've viewed that site before, that's where I got the picture in my signature a long time ago. I meant to share it with you guys but I never got around to it. It looks like RE5 could have been something much better. A shame really.

Now we see where they got the prison level idea from in Mercenaries. It did have a Pirate-y feel to it. irate:

I still think it was Wesker's secret, sex prison and he planned to take Chris there!

Obviously though, that was cut from the story...

Ahem... anyways, I hope they do add A LOT more things in the alternate version of RE5. Now that I realized that RE5 is supposed to be the final chapter in the series; with Wesker gone (and the creators confirmed that it was the end of Wesker) all they can do is reboot the series- not add onto it. This game need to end with a bigger BANG than what we got.

These points were cut for a reason, so perhaps they look good on paper but how dramatically would they change the game. Yes i admit it would be nice to see some of these sequences in action, but im more than happy woth the final product, except lack of jill time. She's been gone for so long, makes a quick show then goes until the end.

Well after reading up on the Gold Edition of Resident Evil 5, the creators are only adding a few features. It will not have any affect on RE5's outcome though.

Personally I was very pleased with the final product of the first release but obviously there was room for more entertaining and creative things which is why I am excited for the Gold Edition.

Seems like RE5 was meant to be much, much more.
