After a meal there's nothing like a good cigar.
One of my friends died at 5 pm. Yesterday, he was texting and driving, he went off the road and a post went through the drivers seat, he was on life support, then at 5 pm yesterday he breathed his last. I am sad, my Girlfriend is trying her best to cheer me up but..... idk its not working. Nothings helping, Im not gonna get drunk unless I get extrememly depressed, I ahve been up since 6 am, crying and mourning over the loss of one of my dearest friends. Im gonna go to my girlfriend's apartment and snuggle, it might help.
 
Not to sound insensitive or anything and I'm sorry for your loss and all, but this right here is the reason why we have laws prohibiting texting and driving. I'm getting very frustrated with these teenage drivers who put both their lives, and more importantly the lives of others at risk simply because they couldn't wait a couple minutes to text their buddies. These kids need to get it through their thick skulls that they're not invincible.

You play with fire, you get burned. Life's a bitch but it won't hurt to think about the things you do. Like I said, if this is true I'm very sorry for your loss but that's pretty much all I got.
 
Sorry for your loss, WA. I'm in the same boat as Hoady here. I've never had a friend who's died that I recall, so I don't relate very well.

I also find myself agreeing with La Femme. No offence to WA, but it's unintelligent to text and drive. Laws exist to keep us safe, and this proves it.

You think so? Well I think your wrong. If your "retarded" move was so retarded... had your matey taken your advice then maybe he would still be alive. You dont get any points for being cool if you crash while texting and driving, you only get cool guy points for being able to do it and not crash.

It's hard looosing friends, welcome to the school of hard knocks? What if he killed someone else??
 
take all the time you need and give yourself the best chance possible.

Always remember that all your departed ones will forever be in your memory and never be truly gone... Your mind will go through so many spasms and fits when trying to deal with your loss, but it's best to just let your mind run its self into the ground and give yourself time.

to try and fight against grief is like trying to push a tsunami away with your hands, it's not possible......a wise man once said to me when i lost my mother and was heavily grieving.......'' still yourself and learn ''

at the time i didn't know what he meant, but in the fullness of time, it's the most important tools i've ever learnt about dealing with loss....

Remember, they are not truly gone, and you know they would hate to see you in such a state, so never stop making them proud, even if they aren't there to pat your back and encourage you.

This isn't the time nor place for a party political broadcast so i'll leave you with that, and hope you can use it in any way you can.

take it easy, and for your friends sake if for nothing else, don't hammer yourself about it, you'll heal and grow in good time.

I'm terribly sorry for your loss darlin'. I know how it feels to lose someone that you care for. It hurts alot. I won't say anything about the texting and driving because I'm sure folks have said enough about it.

Actually...i'm bein one hundred percent serious here...i wouldnt be upset that those were your last words...you said he was your best friend right...then i'm sure he agreed and took some comfort in that fact that youre a good enough friend to insult him like that...i mean all best friends love to be insulted by one another...i'm just sayin I think those are some good last words...no jokes or sarcasm...

I can't drive so I dont realise fine! But seriously, You do get points. You just dont understand the minds of youths today.... and what it's all about. I thought you had kids! Oh didnt you notice what youngsters are like today? *shunshunshun*

I'm sorry but I disagree, I do hate being in a car while someones not paying attention to the road. But I've also known some pretty badass drivers and if your good enough... well...

okay you know what... I'll just retract my last statement It's not cool to multi-task while driving. Texting while driving is ..bellow stupid I dont understand why anyone would bother doing that unless it's a 3 word text but seriously... But If you can your cool lol teach me thy skillz. fact still stands but the immaturity was diminished? This argument could get worse then the peoples thoughts about "white man van drivers" you either get a complete moron or you get a sensible person who can drive and are capable of such things...

I've been a Lucky passenger, in the busy suberbs, it's how my mates drive and Now there older there more confident and know what they can handle It's just a bloke thing...

So, You do get cool guy points. Dont care what anyone says lol you just get them, they are got. But texting while driving.. is not cool..

I believe I'm going to have to agree with KK on the "last words". A best friend is: a friend that you know and trust better than any of your other friends. You can talk to your best friend about anything..you can tell them exactly what you think, and they may get mad for a bit..but they understand. If he was my best friend, I would have told him the same thing. Texting and driving is plum dumb. He should have known better, and I'm sure he does. I wouldn't think he's mad at you or anything, doll. He knows you love him.

So don't worry, besides...it could have been like when my father passed away. I was mad at him for some stupid reason, and I went to bed without saying goodnight to him like I normally did. The next morning he passed away. Now that...is a terrible way to say "good bye". Even though I had no idea that he would be gone by morning.

The bottom line is: don't beat yourself up. God knows I've done it enough myself, and shouldn't have.

What are we discussing here, that you get points for driving recklessly?... Yeah, I'm sure you get points if you try to "near miss" another car and wind up unintentionally crashing into said car and killing somebody. You get points placed onto your drivers license.

Thats fine. ^^ I understand that we're conditioned from birth and when we have certain things done to us, we start to see it as normal, depending on the area we grow up.
