And Leon was supposed to die at the end of RE4 AND in CV, if the rumours I heard about him in Steve's place are correct...
Hey Welcome to the forum, I love your sig!Wow.......after reading through this thread i feel refreshed and so amazed how one negative comment turned into an amazingly profound conversation :'(
Annnnyway I am satisfied with Re6, even if it's story line is somewhat inconsistent. I like how they brought Sherry back into the series, along with some other new characters but like Hel said, someone is going to die. There are just too many living characters right now and I don't see how this is going to work out in the future unless 1 of 3 things happen:
#1-Someone dies
#2-Capcom plans on making ALOT more resident evil games(which I have no problem with) by splitting up characters from Re6 into their own games.
#3-Both #1 and #2
On the other hand I would have to agree with most of you that Re needs to return to it's survival horror roots. It did basically create the genre so why not stick with it. As for those who believe Re is becoming too much like call of duty I would implore you to reconsider your statement. Yes, Re is changing, but in order to survive today's gaming generation of ADHD 12 year olds the series needed to change the gameplay to keep the player engaged in the game. Believe it or not alot of people do not have the patience for true survival horror games such as the early Resident evils or silent hills, and require constant action to keep them entertained. What do you guys think about Re's future?
Hey Welcome to the forum, I love your sig!
I agree that bringing back Sherry was one of the best things that happened in RE6, along with actually making me like Ada, if only Capcom realised this and would bring back some of the other characters from past resident evil games like Rebecca and Billy instead of bringing in new throwaway characters to every game.
Even though I would love the series to go back to its survival horror roots, I honestly don't think that it can. It could probably go back to the level of survival horror-ness level of RE4 but I don't think they would go much further than that, as you said the early resident evil games take a lot of patience and that is something that a lot of gamers don't have.
Sorry about the misunderstanding . I am sure that most of us would hate to see one of the characters die, the only thing I am saying is that i feel it is inevitable. When was the last time a main/supporting character died in a resident evil? I am not really sure. The only thing that comes to mind is Steve from CVX and Re5's false alarm but I could be wrong. CVX was a long time ago, and it's bound to happen again. Please don't misunderstand what I said above, it's not like I want someone to die
RE6 is a piece of sh!t game.... it doesn't even qualify as a good action game if you want a good action game go play something like GTA 5 i sure am going to.
And i want insane melee combat i'd play God Hand not ******* Resident evil..
*sigh* looks like gaming standard in the current generation was never good to begin with.
All i want is a good game... is that too much to ask ? RE4&5 were good shooting games.. but this is just a mess wonky camera, such huge waste of HD cutscenes to tell a really bad story and i can't even skip them.Your standards seem to high.

One thing I never understood why does EVERYBODY bitch about the camera what was wrong with it?
Its debatable on what you find "Fun" for me crappy controls, linear gameplay, bad pacing, terrible force-fed story is not "Fun".It was great while I hated Characters Helena and Jake (Piers grew on my)
there we're Eh. But the game itself is fun.

Sorry i'm not accustomed to sh!tty camera that's all the camera in RE6 is drunk.
>You can skip them though.
I know but why are there so many of them ?? its annoying it pops up in every 2 minutes i don't care i just want to shoot something.
> Also don't like it don't play it simple as that
No game comes with the label "THIS GAME SUCKS ITS NOTHING LIKE RE4 or 5 PLEASE DO NOT PLAY!"
So many gullible people actually play this atrocity expecting a good game.
The game doesn't suck it's just your opinion.
Yeah because of curiosity.Doesn't that make you gullibe though?
What worse camera can you elaborate on that ?? it didn't have a drunk camera which was shaking all the time whether it be shooting or moving around everything gives you feeling of disorientation.. in a bad way.Re5 had a worse camera. still fun as a mug.
That's why i don't like MGS games they're boring. You want to shoot something? Your gonna have a bad day on MGS4.
OH REALLY ?but what's wrong with the cutscenes? they weren't THAT often. Least not Re5 standards.
The game sucks but just not in your opinionThe game doesn't suck it's just your opinion.
