lol i watched this a few days ago.Rant below:
I honestly think the whole fear of technology, although reasonable because of all these wonderful Hollywood predictions, it depends how it is utilized. If we still in the future have governments,armies,seperation of nations and certain people are controlling this kind of thing then watch out(if thats still the case we'd be dead or have used all our medium of resources anyway).. but if its used as the forefront of human development with no one in control i see a totally different story.The future is automation. How a machine can build a car, a printer does printing or an elevator is now automatic.Every so called revolution from the agriculture to the industrial was a revolution in technology.Not thinking machines, doing machines.
I think a humanoid or intelligent robot is ridiculously useless and has no use other then for show..who the hell would want to be served by a robot?Why would you put that kind of intelligence when it serves no purpose? The human being already has the capability to think so why get a robot do it?I doubt we will ever see a skynet unless we still have social division on earth.It is the monkeys running the technology that is the problem.All the destruction of world war 2 could have provided the entire planet with every human need many times over, all we research into killing,imagine if that went into human development?We'd be in a very very different world.So i think the extreme abuse of not using technology correctly is extremely evident today.
What i am trying to say is those quadorofolcopters could be designed for throwing food at people or throwing bombs.:/ you don't design the entity to think, you design it to only operate under a certain program, as it is everywhere in the world today.
