How about a shoutbox? would be pretty cool dont yah think? anyway I think this is the right forum I'm posting this in sorry if it isn't.

ALSO I have another suggestion I say we launch some sort of promotion campaign for this forum Im sure we can drum up some new members some how if we put are heads together.

That idea was discussed some time ago. Some mebers supported it, others said it would seriously reduce the number of posts in the threads. I suggest you send a PM to Steve (the admin), with your suggestion (he's not much around here).

The idea of a shoutbox was brought up several months ago and was quickly shot down by one of the administrators. The problem with it is that it becomes a haven for spam, and that it directs attention away from the forums themselves. I don't see one being implimented here anytime soon.

It is a box with live chat. It's a Java application that can be added to the site. Some forums have it, most does not because of reasons already mentioned.
