Ok so it's been a long time since I posted (doubt anyone would care)

But I just can't decide what to do.

I'm from Hong Kong and I recently just moved to America to finish off high school, so well I have a house but no consoles, I can't decide whether to bring over my Hong Kong xbox360 and play nothing but Games from asia, or to buy a new xbox360/PS3 and start Resident Evil 5 all over again and get xbox live~~~
Gonna get xbox360 live no matter what so it's not an issue~~~

Help me out guys~~~

Well.. I dont quite understand but I think you should do whatever works out best in the long run.. I mean if your old xbox will work fine, then go for it. If not then get a new one RE5 aint that harder game :P

It's just I don't wanna waste money on another xbox360 and start all over again on RE5~~~

Well I guess I'll bring it over, but I'm not sure about how xbox 360 works and like...I needa buy games form Hong Kong =p

Or should I get a PS3??~~~

About Xbox 360, it's kind of illegal and risky, but you can do something about it. It's called 'unlocking', you can load games from whatever place. But it isn't legal, and can give some problems, but it's not so usual....

Playstation 3 is the sulotion. I don't wanna go through all the dietails but it's better and if you don't want to spend to much money buy PS3 Slim.

It depends on what you want: PS3 is better and more powerfull ´, and it's full of gadgets. Don't forget free online for life.

Xbox: if you don't care so much or don't use it more just want a good console and good graphics.

I'm not taking side in this civil war on which is best.

K, dudes~~~

thanks for the replies~~~
but well I PS3 sounds pretty good since it has free online, and I can play different games~~~
My concern is, Dead rising 2. not sure if it's gonna be on PS3 =s~~~

And I used to have an "unlocked" xbox360 but like 2 months before I left Hong Kong to move here for 2 years it met "The Red ring/circle of Dead" =.=...and I have to get a new xbox360 in Hong Kong, but it's for free so yeah. can't find a place to help me unlock it though cause authorities are keeping a close eye on these kinda stuff and well I don't wanna get caught bringing it here~~~

and if any of you guys play RE 5 on PS3 gotta teach me how to and well I guess I'll get PS3 haha~~~
I might change my mind last minute though xp~~~

but dang, the thought of playing the game all over again on normal, veteran and starting on Hard again is kinda...sad =p~~~
But the thought of playing online is pretty tempting =p~~~

So you guys think I should just start all over and abandon all my infinite ammo guns??~~~

If you get PS3 we'll help you I'll assisst/boost you. It'll go fast with the infinite on every wepon. You won't be dissepointed.

QUOTE]

I looked on gamefly.com and it says that Dead Rising 2 will be on Playstation 3.

Haha I feel pressured xp~~~
I'll get it on November which well I know is disappointing =s~~~
I'm afraid that by then you guys will be gone =p~~~

But I guess I wanna make sure I get good grades first...unless I pass a big test and ask my dad...I'll get a PS3 ASAP since all of you are so nice xp~~~

OK so the other thing is...Even if I can get a PS3 you think that hooking it up to a computer screen is good enough?? does it need to be special...and do I need to pluck internet into it??...

Maybe I should just open a new post about how to use a PS3 =.=~~~

This is one example of unfair policy. Why the hell should it be illegal? Does Sony do the same? It sucks.

I think you would be able to use your Xbox (legally or not), but you'll probably need a new power adapter. I doubt the power sockets are the same in HK and US.
And what about the voltage?

If you're going to buy a new console, choose PS3. Some reasons are already mentioned by others, another reason is Sony's good Blue Ray drive.
And be aware that 54 % of new Xbox consoles have technical problems. You'll get it fixed for free until the warranty expires, but it's a pain in the ass anyway. 14% of new PS3 consoles suffer problems. (Statistics from Norway, but they should apply globally.)
