I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but is it really necessary to start a new thread for everyone's birthday? It causes clutter, and, while the sentiment is nice, wouldn't a simple visitor message accomplish the same thing?

TBH I registered yesterday and I've noticed this forum is kinda dead... so creating more threads isn't exactly going to affect this forum at all lol.

I'm pretty sure our administrator Steve did, he and his wife just had a baby boy a few months ago so they've been busy. Apparently raising children is more important than hanging with us. I get it, I get it.

Yes, I think it is necessary. It is being polite and nice to the person an it also helps recognize the person. Besides wouldn't you say Happy Birthday to your friend or a family member or just to a regular person.
