man i have trouble with mgs on ps1 i did the absolute best to fix it which works pretty fine now but if i try anything to make it any better then my computer just can't run it it goes incredibly choppy some cutscenes become a pain to watch i really need to get a new rig.that is ridiculous pricing, considering metal gear solid though i'd probably be up for it haha since i beat the first recently i'm pretty hooked i want to play all of them.

Your first one pecked my auntie to death the other ran away and terrorised the communities so no we're not taking care of your radioactive emus.

fffffffffffffffffffuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu

if i'm patient i'll probably eventually see twin snakes in a game shop around, but god knows when that'll be, so ebay is the only option atm.
but too expensive, and @captain courageous what psx emu you using, i got a feeling i could give you a better one, that is pre-setup..and runs on pretty much anything??

just tried them out, a couple were only for homebrew games, and the others cept dolphin, were still in development, so ran worse than dolphin, but thanks for the link anyway

best ive come across it dolphin, but thats still abit unreliable.
i wudda thought this laptop would be able to run perfectly, i just played through COD4 on high graphics, and L4D also set highest, and they ran perfect...:S

Well i use EPSXE 1.6 and 1.7.The only game that has troubles is Metal Gear Solid.
1.Really minor just the cutscenes, at first it was unplayable but i tweaked it around and it works much better now just some sound skips a bit annoying sometimes nothing else.

2.The codec/elevator lights aren't on so if i need to call someone for a first time its a pain in the ass i can fix this easily but then the game runs so slow i turn it on when i need to call someone. Its a type of special effect and i think its something to do with this terrible computer not being able to run it.

3.You know those 2 big elevators, one right outside a boiler room the other takes you too raven? The game literally goes slower then slow motion it takes like 6 minutes to get down but then you gotta back up again, then down. Its a pain but i just leave the game be lol.

I have okay RAM like 1016mb,1 GHZ 1.60 CPU(i think thats speed) but i've also got an excellent video card called an Intel 82946G Express Chipset Family.

I just read this off DXdiag but that video card really does give me the bummers.

try this one

the only thing that needs to be done is go into the bios folder, and it says what to put here..just google that download and stick it in,then you can play

your specs seem to be fine, i don't see why you shouldn't be able to run a psx emu fine.
