favorite movie of all time

TYLERDM94

The White Wolf
Id like to ask what is your favorite movie because you can tell a great deal of someone by the type of movies they prefer

My favorite is a tough one but im gonna go with toy story

I haven't seen any of my favorite movies in a long time...

...I want to say "the original Star Wars movies", but it's been years since I've properly watched them, even though I can spot a reference coming a galaxy away.
...welp, I guess I know what I'm doing this weekend!

i don't think i could actually answer this question with a single answer, i would probably have to do what Alexk did and do a list.
in no particular order.

the matrix
the dark knight
akira
casino
back to the future part 2
the crow
snatch

any of those would easily make it in to my top 10 if i was forced to make one but i wouldn't know what to put at no.1

I'll do a top 10. It's in no particular order other than #1.

1. 28 Days Later
2. Half Nelson
3. John Carpenter's Halloween
4. Edward Scissorhands
5. Cloverfield
6. King Kong (any version really but i prefer 05)
7. Requiem for a Dream
8. Drive
9. Monsters Inc./Lilo & Stitch (i combined these two since I didn't want to have Disney/Pixar films taking over the list)
10. Behind the Mask: The Rise of Leslie Vernon

I dont know if any of y'all have heard of this movie but the movie Willow is my favorite fantasy movie allong side the neverending story

I can't pick one. I like these films. Picking a favourite genre would be easier, though: Psychological horror/thriller.

1- Session 9 (2001)
2- Memento (2000)
3- The Prestige (2006)
4- The Fast and the Furious (2001)
5- Jacob's Ladder (1990)
6- 16 Blocks (2006)
7- Ninja Scroll (1993)
8- Dawn of the Dead -remake (2004)
9- 28 Weeks Later (2007)
10- Predator (1987)

Tear Jerker ?

I thought it was an American's attempt at Satire.

Good effort though...

personally, i find it funny.
at the end when Forest lost his wife and he also had a little boy that made it sad. idk why I always cry when I watch it but there is something about the underdog's story that always gets to me. It was funny at moments though, I agree

Honestly, I think "Buffy the Vampire Slayer" is probably my favorite movie. I know it's cheesy and generally thought of as inferior to the TV series, but I've loved it since it came out and continue to enjoy it some 20 years later. Not to mention that it's soundtrack features a handful of my all-time favorite artists (some of which I was introduced to through it)! Kristy Swanson will always be Buffy to me... and I'm sure she agrees. ;)

Plus, despite my thin figure, I'm not much for gym class...So burning down a gym really hits home for me ;)

And I'm not a big fan of Forrest Gump...To me it's Tom Hanks worst work, and I'm quite the Tom Hanks fan...

I don't really have one favorite. There's so many films I love especially the older ones from like the 80's and 90's.

I'll list a few I can think of atm.

All Star Wars, Back to the Future, Jurassic Park & Die Hard movies
Point Break
The Goonies
The Mask
Beetlejuice
Cliffhanger
Me, Myself & Irene
Kill Bill Vol. 1 & 2
The Dark Knight
