Do you think Resident Evil Begins is ever going to be released?

If they are ever going to do a correct Arklay Mountain incident, they should just make it a television series and not a hour and a half movie.

If "RE Begins" is put into production, Anderson will only **** it up. His RE movies have never carried the spirit of Resident Evil, just some action-packed BS with a few RE monsters thrown in to "satisfy" loyal RE fans who have been with the serie's since it's beginning.

Instead, Anderson aims at a younger fanbase because he knows little children are not as wise as adults and will spend money on anything with monsters and gore in it. As if he didn't have enough money.

Paul should hand the license to Romero, who despite making a few changes himself, had a vision for making a movie that was actually ****ING LOYAL to the storyline of the game. Romero wanted to capture the spirit of RE in his movie, to some extent. I've not bothered to watch Afterlife because the other movies were crap, though I believe that in the first movie Anderson atleast tried to nake it loyal. I think it was a reasonable effort, after that things just sucked big time.

Whoa... Well, that was my rant of frustration. Have a good day and thank you for reading.

Hmm...an RE TV show...that could work...make it one hour, but every episode focuses on different characters...have it start off with a Chris Jill episode, then a Leon Claire...then maybe a Chris and Rebecca/ Jill and Barry...Throw in a Leon and Ada episode...of course other people who arent MAIN characters would make appearances like HUNK, Sherry, and othere STARS members...

if they're nnot gonna do this, you can totally use this title: Resident Evil Begins, Resident Evil: The Evil Begins

Yeah, so we'll have to go with another subtitle. Hm. I don't know exactly. I'll have to post a thread about that.

Yeah, I'm really drawn to it. It can be thought of as bringing it back to it's former glory, imo. I've longed for a movie on the first Resident Evil game for almost two decades now. I would do anything, including literally giving my left nut, to have a quality movie made of the first game... lol.

:< No more RE moviess uwaaaah~ This makes me so sad...-sigh- If it is real, and does come out I probably wont watch it. I only saw the last one because a friend forced me, then paid for it. And even then I walked out...It's like them making a Zelda movie, but making the main character an elf named Jim.....and Link shows up as a random side character. I like Milla, I hate Alice. She doesn't exist, shouldn't be there....

But...LEON IS GONNA BE IN THIS ONE!

:< Why so they can make him partners with Jill and kill him by their own stupid canon? XD Agggghhhh... I dunno those movies just fill me with rage ;~; Why make something after a video game, if you're just going to change everything ever, and only keep the staple characters...as backup...characters....to telekenetic beastwoman...I don't even ;~;

I liked the movies. The first and Afterlife more than the others. I've faced the argument of, Why make a movie if it's not gonna be just like the game?, and to be honest, it kinda frustrates me.

When you go to see a movie, you should see it for what it is, not for what you expect it to be, otherwise you'll always be disappointed.

As far as making them just like the games, well, that's a little impractical. The idea of the first movie was to introduce viewers to the Resident Evil universe, whether they were seasoned fans or had never played the games. Anderson couldn't have just made the first Resident Evil into a movie, because then all the fans of the games would already know what was going to happen, which would've been a waste of money. If you want to see the first Resident Evil, go play it. If he made them a spin off or something of the games, then people who hadn't previously played the games would have no clue what was going on, thus making for a much smaller fan base and a lot less money.

As far as new characters, okay, so Alice wasn't in the games. Her powers were a little outlandish but not unheard of in the Resident Evil universe. And if you're simply bringing people into the universe (because there were survivors in Raccoon City besides the ones that were focused on), you don't NEED to have every single main character from every single game in the movies. Neither should it be a life or death story writing decision to introduce a new character. The games themselves introduced new characters pretty much every game.

I think they've done well enough in the films. I loved the first one, because as a female, it's nice to see a (or some) strong female roles in film every once in a while. It was nice to see a fresh story that I'd not seen before, with a premise that I was still slightly familiar with. Yea, there was action, but don't you kinda need it in a zombie film? I only really have one critique of the first, and that was the licker, but I don't get all hung up on that because it's the film, not the game. I accept that not everything will be the same.

Basically, if you're complaining about the films, I would say the same thing that I tell all the so-called hardcore Saw fans I saw on the official movie forum threatening to kill all the writers for writing so-called horrific movies. If you don't like them, don't watch them. Nobody is forcing you and you're not missing out if in deed you don't like them. There's really no point to bashing the crew and the final product and wasting all of that energy. Go support the next game instead or something.

I look forward to the next Resident Evil film, regardless of what it's called or who's in it or what the plot is or who wrote it. I go, not expecting to see a carbon copy of a pre existing game, but a fine attempt at expanding a universe that was created on film years ago. I know I couldn't make a better Resident Evil. Could you? Realistically? No.
