Do people still believe in the RE4 remake?

Personally I think it wouldn't make sense to remake RE4 after the Village reveal. The only reason I think Capcom has to remake 4 would be because it would obviously make a lot of money. But why else? RE4 still looks beautiful and is on every console. There is no need to remake it, unlike RE1 2 and 3, which are only playable on retro hardware. Plus Village is apparently a sort of Twilight Princess to RE4's Ocarina. It has the same visual aesthetic, Huge castle, village, blue and gray colours. Why make two games that are so thematically similar at the same time aside from as a cash grab.

I think the opposite, much like RE2 and RE3, it makes complete sense to do them. You'd have some assets you could easily reuse in RE4. Hell, I think RE4 is only happening so soon cuz Village is in development. Also I think there is merit cuz even though thematically similar...RE4 is inherently more campy.

I feel the same, re 4 remake is just a cash grab like re 3 remake turn out to be

It will definitely happen, same source that leaked RE8 also leaked RE4 remake. Plus you know they are going to do it because it will bring them plenty of money, if RE2R sold very well.. Just imagine RE4R?

It's not that I want the remake, I don't. Because same team of RE3R will be in charge for the project, I know the remake will suck from now :(

I'd like to say that team that is working on RE4 is more like a team that happened to work on RE3. There is a difference because the main RE3 team is not working on RE4

The re 3 remake team is developing re 4 remake, it was confirmed by the source who leaked the re 4 remake, and also capcom officially say that the re 3 remake team was working on another title

So yeah this remake is ****ed up XD

Only m two Inc worked on re 3 remake
No other team

Sources on that last part? Everything I've seen has called them a support studio.

Oh now I get it. But still, it's almost impossible to recreate one of the best games of all times and make it as great. Especially in a short time.

The package of the game is the best source

But also any interview whit fabiano that say that m two inc is the only team behind re 3 remake

Maybe you were confused by the fact that some article say that Capcom, for re 3 remake, called an external studio for help, this studio is M two inc... But actually capcom did give the project to them, and they were the only studio working on it.

Mmm maybe I'm the one confused, I'll do some other research on the game... But i know that m two inc was the primary developer, or maybe they were called for some support...

So i find this:
Development was handled by Capcom with assistance from its subsidiary K2 Inc, and from external companies Redworks and M-Two, the latter being founded by former PlatinumGames CEO Tatsuya Minami

So yeah the game was developed by more companies, k2 Inc, redworks and m two inc

And now m two inc is developing re 4 remake

No wondering why the remake is a bit of a mess lol

However m two inc Was the lead developer of re 3 remake confirmed by dusk golem:
"M-Two, who are actually one of the lead developers in the game. I was a bit wrong say Div 1 was not working on it, because they were, I mis-relayed the information that the RE2 team was not working on it. M-Two are still the lead developer on it though, and actually let me tease"
 
Well, either way I guess we have no way to judge how they'd work alone. It's hard to tell if the parts folks liked or didn't were done by them. Or even if it's that easy to point to what parts a team worked on

With what's been shown in the Resident Evil 8 trailer, I believe it's very likely that there will be a Resident Evil 4 remake. The assets look like they'd fit in a bit too well.
 
I respectfully disagree. I think it makes more sense for the RE4 remake to happen now as RE8 has a lot of village and castle related assets that can be reused for RE4. Additionally they are very different game play style. One is 3rd person, the other is 1st person. They will play and feel very different. Do not expect them to release the same year. RE8 is planned for 2021, RE4 is likely 2022, or 2023 if something else is planned for the 2022 release slot. Capcom has about 2 or 3 different teams working on RE now.

Personally I would like a CVX remake though. Also Revelations 3.
