Post about things you made or accomplished as a kid that you were extremely proud of at the time. Anything from a contest you won to an arts and crafts project you poured your soul into.

Photos of objects you made or memorabilia are also welcome.

Hmm... I don't know if anyone else had to do this, but when I was in elementary school we had to write speeches/public speaking every year and then the kids who got the highest would compete at the school level and then at the town level. I always did really well with it, I think in 8th grade I got first in my municipality and got to make a speech about my school in front of the mayor at a town hall meeting, I was on cloud 9 for a while then. Played hockey and basketball too and my dad especially was crazy over that, although we didn't get anywhere 'cause our team stank, aha. And I was a really good rider too, albeit I was too small for horses so it was just ponies, but I was good.

And I used to do very well in art, my teachers would display my art all the time. One of my early high school art teachers ****ed that up for me though, I had handed in a still-life drawing and she had accused me of getting someone else to do it for me. Haven't drawn since. But I guess that's not childhood aha.

I played Charlie in our school play (Charlie and the chocolate factory) was pretty cool at the time. That's all I can think of off the top of my head.

Wow I would have been so proud if I had accomplished just one of those things!

The only thing I can think of right now, is that I knew very much about geography. This was before the Internet, I studied map books and learned every country and its capital city, and also where in the country the capital was located. I also knew the population for most nations.

And I could tell the make and model of the most common cars, trucks, tractors and snowmobiles by listening to the engine when they drove by our house.

Wow, let's see: I was "Good Citizen of the Month" every year in elementary school. I was a representative of my classroom in the fifth grade, and I also won the award for "Good Citizen of the Year" that very same year.

Hehehe and I played a singing Christmas tree in a play in the second grade. I was a peer helper in the fifth and eighth grades. That's about all...once I got into high school I became a hell child lmao.

Hell child FTW. I had ADD or something like that, so i wasn't to good and much that didn't involve getting myself into trouble!

Good Citizen of the Month/Year... Why do I think it sounds exactly like Tremor, hm? ;)
