Resident Evil 6 Can RE6 bring the franchise back from the dead?

Okay so a girl almost half your age makes a post about her dislike for Leon with good points and it becomes a not 1, not 2, but THREE against one debate? That's no fair. All she was stating was her dislike for a certain character, there's no need to question why she doesn't like him.

I see plenty of Chris hate on here that isn't questioned, I've seen Rebecca hate that I don't question, but the second someone says one god damn thing about Leon it turns into WWIII. I'm quoting you because you're the last person to say something about it, but I'm talking about EVERYONE who decides to start a fight or 'debate' when someone has something negative to say about a f*cking video game character. He's not real folks, get over it.

I'm not trying to start a fight either, I just wish everyone would treat everyone here fairly, and I haven't been seeing much of that lately. I've been seeing a lot of people ganging up on one another and that's not the REN I originally joined that was so peaceful and happy.

Everyone is entitled to their own opinions and debates, but once it becomes more than one person debating another that's when it becomes unfair. I'm not back seat modding either, a mod wouldn't say 'god damn' and 'f*ck' whilst moderating. I very well know because I've been a mod for many different forums before. I'm actually stating my frustration with members who should very well know better.


Anyway, back on topic... I hope to see zombies in more than just one scenario, and more scares than I did in RE5... but with every day that passes I become more and more excited for this title. I can't wait to see what they do with Chris, and if they bring any old faces back from the past. I also wanna see what's going on with this whole Ada/Carla deal, I'd love it if Ada became a villain.

Thats how discussions or "Debates" start.

When someone challenged someone else's opinion.

Nothing wrong with that as long as it does not resort to personal insults or anything like that which is why I do not get why you feel the need to jump in and defend her when clearly she is good enough on her own to handle herself.

I myself have had to debate against 2 or 3 people at once on this forum in the past and yet I stuck to my principles and never complained or needed any help and If you ask me I don't think she needed your help.

But I'm sure she may appreciate it.

First of all, I'm not a 'dude' and I'd respect it if you didn't call me one, although judging by your username it seems as though you said that because you're 'TooCool' and thought it might be funny.

Secondly, when I see a friend being debated by more than one person of course I'm going to jump in where I see fit... Maybe I was a little late, you're right, it's just I didn't see this until now.

There's so many grammatical mistakes in your post, and for a grammar-nazi like myself to see this makes me cringe. I'm not trying to fight you, I'm pointing out the recent hostility and heated arguments displayed on the forums recently. I suppose since this one was happening to my friend I had enough and decided to jump in.

I'm normally a very passive person, so for me to jump in definitely means there's too much fighting going on and not enough peace. Everyone needs to chill out, and maybe even put one another on ignore if their posts bother you that much.

In my last post I was trying to go back on topic, but you completely derailed it because you had to have the last word, and I'm sure you'll quote me once more instead of simply letting it go... but I'll try one more time to put this back on topic. I won't respond to you next time, unless its in a peaceful manner, which I'm sure it will not be.

Anyway... I just saw a new video of Jake's gameplay and I must say I'm really enjoying his character, and Sherry for once. She really annoyed me in RE2, but that is to be expected from a 12 year old. I think bringing new characters in is a good thing, I just really hope Jake won't be a one-game character.

That's something Capcom is famous for... making characters incredibly cool like Billy, Carlos, and even Barry, then forgetting them completely. Assuming Jake is Wesker's son, hopefully he won't get the same treatment and move onto more games.

Forums are here for discussions and debates and if you honestly did not know that than to bad for you.

Debates and discussions are a common mainstay amongst forums and if it bothers you so much than maybe you should ignore those debates or simply leave the forums.

Not trying to tell you to "get out" or anything since its not my place to do so, but if your going to get this touchy every time one of your friends gets into a debate than you are only going to do more harm than good here which is pretty obvious to anyone who is reading what is going on between you and I at the moment.

I know this, but I joined this 'forum' to avoid debates, arguments, and flame-wars like the other RE forums have. It is called a community too for a reason. Yea, i think they will turn out to become a really good pair of characters. I think Capcom is planning to use them and Piers in future games. Which I would like to see, since it's more than time the old characters step out of the spotlight (except maybe for Claire since she is the youngest and deserves a last game*).
However, the developers suggested a romance between Sherry and Jake, which I wouldn't like. From what I've seen so far, Sherry would make a better couple with Piers than with Jake. That's just my opinion anyway.

I'm not being hostile at all, just honest and matter of fact. I've decided to be more honest as of late and it's done me more good than bad. I would join in the debate about RE2, but sadly I only know about Claire's scenario. Also, I wasn't "coming at you", it was a generalization.

I would love to see Claire again. Piers and Jake have to come back in future games, they're just so great and I've only seen previews/trailers!

And a romance between Sherry and Jake? I would actually like that a lot. I kind of jumped in excitement when you mentioned it, they look so cute together!

I like your point of Jake taking Ada's position, that would in fact make a lot of sense.
