Bioshock question

Hey I bought bioshock last night and I'm already stuck and was wondering if anybody could help me.

I'm at the part where I have to chase the crazy doctor around everywhere but when I finally make it to him the passage leading to him is blocked by all this junk.

how do I get through it?

I'm pretty sure there is a different route to him. If I'm wrong, try IGN's Bioshock guide.

You have to go back through the area's and find Telekinetic powers to grab the TNT some guy is throwing at you and then you launch it at the rubble. Understand?
