Okay so I'm like..really freagin' bored. I decided to make this thread because I'm going to a concert in a few weeks and I was just curious as to see who you all would like to see live. Feel free to post videos of live performances if you want. You can even tell us about your concert experiences if you'd like.

To start this thing off, I'm going to do Rammstein first..since they're who I'm going to see :p

These guys have been a part of my life since I was a little girl. And I know a lot of people would think that I had a strange taste in music at that point in my life but...oh well lol. My dad started listening to them and I ended up getting into them since I spent most of my time hangin' out with him. So there you go, Rammstein has stuck with me all these years..thanks to my dad. The difference between then and now is that I actually understand some of the songs now and I've been working on others. It's really somethin' when you make a point of understanding another language..it's like a whole new world opening up to you, I love it. Anyway, enough rambling. It's time to show you guys whyRammstein is one of the best live performances:

I do need to add a warning here because the video isn't meant for anyone who is easily offended in any way, nor is this video suitable for children. And all that wondrous stuff...

I chose this video because it has the perfect mix of what makes Rammstein such an exciting live performance: talented musicians, lights, explosions, fire even though there isn't any in this video, lewd behavior lol, and the fact that you can never be sure what they'll come up with next. They keep outdoing themselves. That's the sign of a great band. And how many bands do you know, that bow to their fans like that? :p As the people of Tumblr would say, "they're my babies"

Aanndd go!

Believe it or not i was going to be a doorman for Rammstein for Big Day Out last year. Unfortunately i didn't have suitable black clothing or a car to be able to get home and back on time!

I would love to have seen Pink Floyd Live back when they were at there peak.No matter how long time passes Pink Floyd holds deep somewhere. Current day bands it would have to be Tool. I'm not overly enthusiastic about concerts in general maybe from the experiences i have had working on them, i like small gigs better but maybe i just haven't seen good enough big bands.

Well...I'm going to see Bowling for Soup in a couple months...I'm so freaking psyched for that because they're a huge influence on the music I write and perform...
As far as bands I like to see...
Green Day
Blink-182
Matchbox Twenty
Billy Idol
Sugar Ray
Goo Goo Dolls
Avenged Sevenfold
MC Lars
MC Frontalot

Ive already been to 2 concerts, Pink Floyd (Roger Waters) and G3 Tour 2012 (Joe Satriani, Steve Vai & Steve Lukather).
The next one im going to is Flight Of The Concords which is in June, long to go.:D
I bummed out the year before that I didn't get to see Metallica at the Vector Arena in Auckland, but I just Wish they would come back and play 1 more time.

The problem is is that it's not the real GnR anymore man...Duff made the band...I'd never go see a GnR that didn't have Duff with em...

Duran Duran=Win...
Nahhh, Duffis Slash's bitch. Duff has this delusion that he's the only base player who can play along side slash and it simply isn't true. In saying that though, OLD GnR was amazing! energy and fight...

I've watched the ( troubles ) from day one, and i'll always side with Axl. Slash and Duff, simply wouldn't clean up their addictions... they also didn't want to evolve with the music industry ( this is easily proven by looking at a picture of duff and slash from last week and comparing it to the 80's ) still jacking the same image...this is what Axl tried to avoid...he feared GNR would become a parody of themselves, and they nearly did...

From the beginning Axl and Izzy are the the two heart beats of GnR.. Slash and Duff, provided the best sugar coating money could buy.

The delay in the Chinese album was due to legal battle after legal battle from ex band members and record labels... but now that its done and dusted GnR can now get on with new material.

Love him or hate him, Axl is an artist. a REAL artist.. This i love from the Democracy album shows that he's still one of the best lyricists around..

As for the new members.... I gotta say, Dj Ashba utter trounces Nightrain... he has made it his own, i've had the pleasure of hearing the new band do the nightrain solo, and boy do they lift the roof. The talent that the new line up is unbelievable, and it looks like this line up will be the one Axl settles with. I can't wait for their next album because it's going to kick serious amounts of ass... and all this '' old / new '' talk will be something of the past.

Haha...Are you aware that Slash's solo album sold more than Chinese Democracy? I can see why too, I preferred it lol...Don't get me wrong, there were some great tracks on CD...Shackler's Revenge REALLY reminded me of the old GnR...And in all honesty, I'm not even a huge Slash fan...I think he's pretty over rated...Axl has a great voice, but to this day it still sounds stereotypicaly 80's...Which is funny because I think their best work came from the 90's...Use Your Illusion (Both parts) are my favorite albums...Get in the Ring and You Could Be Mine are genius...

record sales don't mean anything in this day and age. Justin Bieber has sold more than slash, period.

I want to see 2 concerts before I die. Roger Waters The Wall Live and Rammstein, both of which will be in viewing distance this summer but I probably won't have the funds to see them :(.

Funny thing about The Wall. I'm really not a huge fan of Pink Floyd. Just The Wall. I suppose I can really relate to the idea of chronic alienation, searching for a purpose and losing yourself if your mind. I first saw the film in the mid 90s and its stuck with me ever since. I will eventually own the Immersion Edition of the album :).

As for Rammstein, I kind of stumbled upon them. I liked their music before I knew I liked them lol. Like everyone else I had heard Du Hast on the radio and have no idea who they were, but i liked it. After hearing Feuer Frei! on Triple X, I decided to look into them and ended up ordering their 3rd studio album which was amazing. Since then I've acquired any and all CDs, singles, soundtracks etc that I could find. Within a few months I started teaching myself German so I didn't have to go to translation sites every time I got a new CD lol. Like tremor said, its really very special when you realize you can understand another language. I went from a listener separated by language to a listener who finally felt like (I) was being spoken to. It was great- eventually my dreams were in German too. :) That realization just happened to be the birth of my love of languages by the way. I love me some foreign language study. :D
