Animal Rights Activists - paragons or menaces to society?

Yes I guess you are right about "mafia", but I use the term loosely. I first thought about calling them "terror groups", but I felt that "terror" is overkill and overused as a word.

I was hesitant to call PETA terrorists for the same reason...But sinking fishing boats really are acts of terror...It does fit the description, even if they don't quite compare to groups like Al Queda...

I'm not sure which group sank fishing boats and set free animals at fur farms (so the animals starved to death in nature), and torched other farms... Maybe PETA did nothing of this, but they are one of the loudest groups and appear very aggressive. I *****ng hate them.

Don't get me wrong, I do care for animals, actually I care 1000 times more for animals than I care for activists.

I'm with ya my friend...I mean, someone earlier said something about animals that live their whole lives in doors...I completely agree, and even though I have an indoor cat, I let him frolic outside because they way he stares out the window you can tell he wants it so bad...It's cruel to keep them there...But at the end of the day, he'll come back to be held and fed...If an animal is raised its WHOLE life in captivity, it has NO idea how to fend for itself in its natural environment...For example, starving to death JUST like you said...They're doing MUCH more harm than good...

I wasn't aware that PETA were semi terrorists lol. In response to that, i think its a ridiculously silly approach to respond with violence. As i said, if you want things done, look to scientists and provide proper communication with relevant scientific approaches.

I don't think it's fair to call PETA terrorists. After all, one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter. ;) Seriously though, PETA are extreme, no doubt about that, but not terrorists. Terrorists are people that hate another people so much they fly planes into buildings full of civilians. Those people are terrorists.
