  • Yeah, I saw what Asmo said and how Moses quoted his response from another thread into the new one, which was a little uncalled for. But in this respect Moses is a little like SpardaTM - trolling ever so gently and just within the rules so as not to be reported. And someone who calls him out on this will no doubt be subjected to a long-winded and incredibly wordy response which cannot be understood without a dictionary and makes everyone else look stupid.

Me coming back right now won't make a blind bit of difference - Vampi and Moses are practically sleeping together, albeit virtually, in the way they defend one another. Vampi calling DT a troll was a bit much - he actually had a good point. I don't like elitist behaviour and I'm fairly sure most of the DMC community do not read all the novels, comics, mangas, shopping lists etc and simply go on what they have learned from playing the games. If Moses doesn't like that then he's going to have to go elsewhere for his particular threads.

Your thread idea would be SO awesome, if only it would really work
He's being a silly Twiglet ;) You're doing the right thing ignoring him - keep it up. I PM'd staff and they both think he's being an idiot and are waiting for him to screw up enough to be banned. So don't worry about a thing :D
Cheery corn, cheery oats, cheery rice and wheat! Cheery four grain cheerios! Cheerio so good to eat! They're nutritious and delicious! cheerio so good to eat!

Ignore the little flamebaiter - he's posted a thread which is going to annoy people, he's pointing posts out which don't need pointing out and he's being...well...Aka
Ta - we'll see, eh? Either way, I hope Chloe's goes well and everything stays safe :)
    SNARF EDIT

And that sounded like ook to me  Nice monkey you got there :D
haha - yeah, rep monster. That's me ;)

She wrote something in the thinking thread about being pregnant, but only like 3 weeks or something?
    i noes big wurdz

LoD is good at that - I'm glad he goes out of his way to make people feel like they still matter in that place. I rep him as often as I am able, because my rep power is stupidly high.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over other people and their dramas, though - instead, use it as inspiration for your comedy writing. Nothing like human fails to make epic lulz :D

btw - am I reading right about Chloe?
hehehe - pancakes are indeed worthy of much discussion and respect.

I just really hope Moses doesn't maintain his esoteric approach to everything (see, even I know big words too!) and especially something as emotive as religion. Probably just as well I'm not posting there any more because I'd most likely get irritated by some of the responses, although so far nothing is annoying me. Don't get me wrong, I think moses has some smarts but I think he hides a little too much behind his wordy responses and criteria for speaking in his threads - I get the impression it would be a struggle for him to talk like a regular person.

As Cheez once told me - "just because it's the biggest or fanciest word in your vocabulary, it doesn't mean you should necessarily use it". I'm inclined to agree when it comes to a forum with mostly younger teens who, whilst they may have the IQ points, doesn't mean they will automatically understand what the hell he is on about.
There are so many social networking sites out there to kick off on, or free blogging sites, but people seem to choose gaming communities to vent about life, the universe and pancakes. I mean, what has the existence of God got to do with Devil May Cry? Unless there's something in the bible I've missed concerning video games...

I'm wondering whether Moses will jump in later, what with him being a religion major (or whatever you guys call it). I'd be interested to see his response, if any, because as far as I can tell he is intellectually aware of religions but not on any personal level which is where it actually counts. Knowing information is one thing, belief can be quite another...
You're not the only one. And I personally don't bother with the disclaimer in his sig - that's not a Get Out Of Jail Free card. If you know you're someone who is likely to come across as angry or trollish then the onus is on you to ensure your posts and general behaviour are within the rules. It's like knowing you've got a terrible temper and just lashing out all the time with a weak "no offence" at the end of each rant. It's not acceptable.
He's being such a child - honestly. I've reported him several times to the staff, because it's the correct procedure, but Cheez keeps asking me to suddenly log in and go nuts on the guy but for now I'm seeing where he goes with his blatant trolling (and a lot of it IS trolling) and leaving it at that. I don't really know what his problem is...?
Oh sure - people are also up their own backsides. The internet is the only safe place to truly pretend to be clever because you can Google the answers to any argument

Not entirely sure what Aka is trying to get at with his latest thread...a 12 year old article with about as much weight attached to it as the Spaghetti Meatball God? Yeah, good luck with that one
    LOL INTELLIGENT!

    Ahem...

Because people are precious about their opinions and hate to be told they're wrong by someone they have never met in a place where everyone can see them be put down. That'd be my first guess. Also, people are idiots. Which is my second guess

I'm sure someone super duper smart like Moses will have a far better response than me though - after all, he NEVER takes things seriously

Why, who's being all serious about stuff?
Yeah, these guys love new members. DMC.org kinda made me feel like the New Kid you stare at on the first day, lol.
That's exactly what I meant, it's not more fun to wake up early. I want to sleep all the time.
Yup, Cheez sends me regular reports and I send him character references to investigate - it's been working out rather well so far, from what he tells me. Two people who were really standing out to me have since quietened down considerably - not because they were immature but they were/are insufferable know-it-all's and Cheez called them out. Hopefully they'll stop trying to outsmart everyone and just be part of the community.

Some good things are happening. Not enough to make me want to come back, but maybe this time next year there'll be enough of an improvement...
Nothing wrong on my end, but not really great either. I'm tired most of the time and lack motivation to do anything that isn't strictly necessary. Maybe the lack of daylight is making it worse, it's the seasonal dark time. And it'll get even darker until around Christmas.

Last week-end we went back from DST to winter time, making the afternoon 1 hour shorter in one instant.

Are winters dark where you live?
