  • Hell seems like a pretty wonderful place then I must say. I feel very unimaginative - I always pictured it as just this really big nude beach with red sand, me laying in my lounge chair darkening up my tan, random orgies breaking out everywhere - a very pleasant sort of place, you know? Not awful and not exactly Christian-ly just pleasant.
Okay...I think I understand a little better now.

Man if there was a hell, I'd definitely be going because my mind is almost always in the gutter...except for those times when I say something and I don't know what I've really said until the people around me start laughing. It always ends the same, though - right back in the gutter. I guess I'm just doomed to hellfire and damnation.

    *slaps self*

I should not make fun of religion; I should not make fun of religion...

I really enjoyed your examples - Leon and Mel Gibson. *sigh* You caught onto my personality so easily.

Thanks for the explanation, though, I think it really helped. :)
Hey just to infrom you. The last time I wrote to a forum drunk.. well yeah it didn't turn out to be so well for me!

But seriously now. Mind if I ask you why so happy? Who is the lucky guy? :p
Hmm That Is Unusual. I Am Doing Well Sitting Around Listening To Music, And Meeting New People. Your Welcome
Hi Golbez, I'm going to have to respond here because for some reason I cannot access your profile or view the conversation. I am very well, thank you very much for asking - how are you doing?
Hello La Femme Fatale. Well In The Time That I Have Been Here I Haven't Really Talked To You Very Much And You Seem Like A Nice Person. So Hello How Are You Today?
 @ judging character by driving skills. I do that too, though - not necessarily with driving skills but with other things such as one's drinking and driving inclinations - I'm a very large advocate against that - and sometimes I even judge people by their hypocritical nature.

Wow...a movie directed and written by a holier-than-thou actor who has a terrible habit of putting hundreds of people's lives in danger every time he gets under the wheel of a car. It seems very Christian-ly to me. (Though I can't rightly say as I'll freely admit I'm not an authority.)

Once again, I know I'm asking many questions here and I do apologize but you don't think you could go more in-depth on the act of purifying one's mind, do you? I never have and, honestly, don't think I ever will fully understand this concept - my only defense is that I do try my hardest.
Mmm...you know I never thought of celebrity insincerity that way before...it kind of makes me look at it in a whole new way.

I agree that she is misguided but at the same time, I think she answered the question in the best way she could and she didn't slander anyone, which is always nice to avoid. I thought that Perez Hilton was a little out of line with his backlash at her directly because she was very kind and hesitant about answering such a controversial question. I would have loved to see how he would have reacted had she lied. I can see how it would be upsetting that she'd feel that way but her telling the truth as diplomatically as she can, while dually jeopardizing her Miss America title, is much better than her lying to ensure a win. I felt she should have at least gotten some respect from the people who were angry with her for that.

Wow, really? And how exactly do you become a good little Christian child? (I've always been curious about these kinds of courses, actually and have never had the...mixed pleasure of being able to sit and take notes inside of one.) I understand completely if you don't wish to discuss it but I do indeed find the...logic behind these types of classes fascinating. :geek:
Yes, the lack of support is a problem and will most definitely elongate the struggle of the gay rights movement and I agree that it is mind boggling that being homosexual is actually punishable by death - that's just crazy. I say live and let live, your sexual orientation has absolutely no direct effect on my life whatsoever so why would I care? If it floats your boat and you're content, why would I put up a big fuss over it? *shrugs* It's a shame other people don't see it that way.

I must ask, since you're very passionate about this subject, how do you feel about all of the celebrities who come out in support of the gay community? (Not the ones who are actually in support, mind you, the ones who are obviously doing it to further their popularity?) How did you feel about the Miss America candidate - Miss California, I think - who answered honestly on her views of gay marriage? I found her to be very truthful, honest and polite about it but I noticed that many people found her to be harsh and a *****.

You know, I actually have noticed that many high school Christians are rather intolerable and the people that I went to high school with who had before then been enrolled in the local Christian Academy were either very prim, proper and rather anti-social or completely the opposite. From the other side of the coin, how different is a Christian/private high schooling experience than a public one?

Sorry, I know I ask a lot of questions but I've never really conversed with someone who's been so political before, nor anyone who can talk about their Christian/private schooling experience seemingly without any biases.
I can definitely see where that would come in handy with your major and your future line of work.

Oh, I didn't mean that black and women's liberations were still going on, far from - what I meant to ask was am I correct in assuming that the struggles homosexuals are dealing with and will no doubt face in the future more severe than what these two past rights movements dealt with?

Yes, I can see Canada being more liberal in that way - especially considering that Obama got the majority of his votes in the democratic election simply because many closed-minded people were not ready to accept that a woman might be ready to run the country. Now do I believe Mrs. Clinton was the woman to put those views to rest, not necessarily, just putting out there how the view stands. (As a general rule, I don't involve myself in political matters - most of the time they're much too convoluted for even my mind to process.)

Oh please, don't stop - I would love to hear more about your..."liberal propaganda." While politics are not my shtick, I find it much easier to enjoy a conversation when the person I'm conversing with is passionate about the topic, and that you are my friend. I may not understand everything that is being said but I definitely try.

While we're talking liberal Canadian views - would you say that the Christian faith is more open-minded in Canada? (Americans sometimes get touchy on their religious views.)

I would like to thank you for sending that fic over, by the way - it was a very pleasurable read. :D
Me personally no :p But it seems that his son is about 40 - the age your rock star was back in 86. Or did the apple fall very far away from the tree?
Ah, I can see where the Christian views on these things would irk and send you into a bit of rebellion against their...uniquely hypocritical type of authority. I can't imagine going to a religious school, especially when I don't share the views of said religion - it had to be hell for you. (No pun intended.) I'm not entirely hip to just how unjust the legal and political systems are against homosexuals but I do imagine it to be worse than the black struggle and the women's struggle for equal rights, am I correct? Is there a vast difference between the American and Canadian view on such things or is one more...militant than the other?

While there are a few wildlife parks in my state, and it would probably be where I'd want to do most of my work, should I choose to pursue this line of work - I'm very much a southern girl and can't imagine living anywhere else - but I think I would like to travel a bit to different countries before I settled in one place. (Especially with the current Tiger crisis, which I'd definitely have to go somewhere else to be of assistance with.)
Huh? What's that you're wearing? A leather jacket?!?

My mom bought me one the other day and I remembered your talking about animals' skins e.t.c So I made a question to another forum just to be sure and they told me that when it comes to leather I should stick to shoes only!

It sucks when your idols let you down!

Btw look at this hot dude over there. He must be above 70 :p
Not yet. It was strange...I knew what I wanted to do all through high school and then, after taking three years of graphics courses and receiving a scholarship to my local CC, I didn't go because I realized I hated it. I guess that's a little flaky but I just didn't see the point in going and wasting money someone else could have been using for a scholarship when I knew in my heart of hearts that I couldn't see myself doing that for the rest of my life.

Since high school, I've been breaking and recently buckling down on my search for a job - things seem to be going in the right direction now and I think I might have a grip on what I want to do. It irritates me, though because I constantly get comments that both of the careers I'm in between - archaeology and wildlife preservation - don't pay much but, if I had wanted that I'd have gone to college on my scholarship. I guess some people just don't get that, while money is fairly important on matters of standard survival, it's not everything.

I think your major is very commendable. I believe there need to be more upstanding people in politics, advocating for issues they believe in, not for favorable public opinion. You seem to feel very strongly about the political and general rights of homosexuals.
Absolutely, send it over - I'm always up for a good piece of fanfic. :D

Ha, I feel so lazy in relation to your assessment of writing fanfic, I hardly ever map anything out...which is probably why I don't like most of what I write but that is neither here nor there.

I agree with you about Dylan/Regina for most of the cutscenes but that last one really seemed like some bad soap-opera love or something. It was awful and most definitely pales in comparison to some of the wonderful games and endings Capcom has created.

Politics? Interesting in that...political sort of way - politics aren't really my thing. What do you major in, I wonder?
I've never really thought about that before...you know, I think you've given me a bit of inspiration and I'll definitely tell you if it leads anywhere...look out Kirk/Regina, here I come.

I'm not sure why but I always was attracted to Gail and Regina - tough guy, tough girl it all equals love that no one is willing to admit to in the end. Rick was too...obvious, it was like he was trying to tell her throughout the entire game that he was interested only for her to counter every sweet moment he tried to set up with: "You know, I'm worried about Gail." Dylan and Regina...I never played the second DC game but, like the major geek I am, I watched the cutscenes and a good portion of the gameplay and it was so...spelled out obvious! (Even more so than Rick/Regina.) It was like Capcom was throwing what they wanted us to see in our faces like: "You guys are sort of dumb, so here it is: a soap opera romance with dinosaurs and a bad ending, have at it!" *sigh* As a general rule, I hate the obvious pairings, I really do. (Billy/Rebecca and Jill/Chris are my exceptions.)

Ah but enough of my rambling.
 I'm glad the fic pleased you and I thank you for your compliments. I haven't read many of the DC fics, mainly because I'm a Gail/Regina fan and everyone just up and ran with Rick/Regina  or Dylan/Regina  - can anyone say no chemistry? - but it's nice to know that TAOG-B was better than the average DC fic. :)

I too thought it was bizarre and strange but I would have really thought it was bizarre if you hadn't been HRN.
 I'm glad you told me or else I'd be horribly confused right about now.

I'm doing pretty alright I guess, and you? How are things with life and what not?

I've actually wanted to stop by your profile for a bit now and ask you a question. I received a review on FF a few days ago for a fic of mine - my very first of the Dino Crisis fandom - from a reviewer called: Her Royal Nonsense. Being a bit slow, I knew I had heard/seen that name before but I wasn't entirely sure where until I visited the user's profile and saw the avatar. Though I'm sure that coincidences do indeed happen, I'm not convinced that this was a coincidence. You wouldn't by any chance be "Her Royal Nonsense" now would you?
