Revelations 2 Who would you like the next spin-off game (Revelations 3?) to feature?

What character(s) would you like to play as in Revelations 3 or whatever the next spin-off entry is? And if you're interested in co-op (I know some people here aren't, but to each his/her own), who would you like to partner with?

For me, it's pretty simple: Jill.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again: her RE5 story needs to be brought to its proper (and logical) conclusion. For Jill to be involved in such a huge storyline like that that literally teased her being dead for months on end prior to the game's release FFS before that "shocking" turn of events only to have her fall off the face of the earth doesn't make a lick of sense.

Plus, there's no way in hell she isn't seeing flashbacks of Albert, Alex's "brother" who she just happened to have aided in his death (assuming the "rumors" aren't true, which would make it all the more interesting), after all he did to her (Natalex could very easily exploit that BTW). That's not all, doe: she was integral to his research, too (Uroboros). We all know Natalex is obsessed with her "brother"'s life's work.

Tell me again why Natalex wouldn't logically go after Jill in her traumatized state?

Plus, who wouldn't want to see Jill and Claire in the same game for the first time? You better believe she's on Natalex's (s)hit list, too after Revelations 2. Plus, it's about time they finally met after the RE2 Jill picture file, talk about going full circle.

Yes, Jill. I also had an idea that could have brought Ada into the mix. Ada and Jill (and maybe Claire too, like you said) being terrorized by Natalex would make for a good story idea, I feel.

Maybe we can finally get some revelations as to who the hell Ada is and where her motivations come from.

Revelations brought back Jill and Revelations 2 brought back Claire so I'd like for Revelations 3 to bring back Rebecca. Since these games always have multiple playable characters, I also wouldn't mind Chris and Jill being in there just so they can sort of finish off what the first one started. I wouldn't want them to blow their load with the whole Alex and Natalia thing just yet, but I'd at least like some sort of conclusion to Jessica and Raymond.

I would like to see Billy return, if not as the star of the spinoff, at least a side character or something like that because I always felt like he was a cool and interesting enough character who has never been fully developed past RE0, plus I've been dying to know what happened to him when he and Rebecca parted ways and she headed toward the spencer mansion, and surely he may have encountered things in the forest and the arklay mountains along the way.. I don't know I just feel like it would be very interesting to see where he is now and that it's long overdue.

Personally Turo said it for me. We had Jill in the first Revelations game and both Billy and Rebecca are long over due. I think there is a lot of story there. Those characters fit the atmosphere of the Revelations series very well.

We may end up seeing Jill though. In an e-mail to Barry in Revelations 2 she said she's eager to get back into the field again.

A new game in general: Jill. But only if she has finally managed to develop a personality, perhaps in the aftermath of the Wesker incident, which of course must be brought up. I would be very pleased if there were unlockable extra chapters where you play as Jill during her time as Bird Lady, carrying out evil missions for Wesker. However, if that huge issue is just swept under the rug, as Capcom tend to do with many of their better stories and characters, then I prefer not to see her again at all.

A Revelations game: Not Jill, and not Claire either. I've come to see Revelations as a series of side-games with more intricate storylines featuring recurring female characters, so after Jill and Claire, a logical choice for the next main character would be Rebecca or Ada, but Sherry would be interesting too. If necessary, all of them also have male partners that could bring action into the game, like Chris and Barry did in 1 and 2: Billy for Rebecca, Leon for Ada, and Jake for Sherry. And by the time those five Revelations games are out, maybe the main series will have produced another interesting female lead to star in the sixth. Personally, I hope for Sheva's return.

Sheva might be cool; I'd love to see her and maybe Josh fighting the remnants of Albert's army in Africa, maybe having to go deeper into the continent to hunt down creatures that escaped. The game could show the political ramifications of such an outbreak in such an impoverished, unstable region. Maybe Rebecca could be sent in as a special agent to help.

Then perhaps another canonical side-story without the Revelations name (Resident Evil: Desolation comes to mind), kinda like Code: Veronica, featuring Jill and Claire as the lead protagonists and Natalex as the main villain. Which, of course, she'll have another contingency plan in place (probably another vessel that she'll transfer her consciousness into) when they inevitably "kill" her off (preferably Jill for obvious reasons).

It makes even more sense to bring back Jill now fresh off the Wesker rumors. Putting Ada in the game would also tie into the whole "she's back" line in the RE7 E3 trailer since it really does sound like Ada's voice on the phone as others have pointed out.

I actually would like to see what Jake has been up to after the events of RE6. Espically with Natlex out there it gives a lot of material for good storylines. Jake wasn't my favorite character but you can't deny that he had one of the biggest character arcs of the franchise after one single game. I would really like to see what could happen to him in future sequels and he is a way too important character to suddelny disappear again.

And seriously Capcom give HUNK something new to do! He has been in so many games but yet only one of it is a canon story game. It is quite astonishing how big his fanbase is so I think Capcom should build on that factor.

Those are my two big suggestions for a new Revelations game. Rebecca will be featured in the new movie and the play so therefore I don't think Capcom will put her in a new game as well. Maybe Jake can meet up with Jill or Claire (which would also be very interesting since both share relations to Wesker and Chris.)

I had another idea for a spin-off game: instead of this being the plot for Revelations 3, how about another spin-off game set during RE6 featuring Jill and Claire? Basically explaining what they were up to during the events of RE6, picking up right where the Rev2 good ending left off (the events of RE6 are just beginning during the final cutscene in the good ending)? That way, you can fill in the blanks, following up not only Jill's RE5 aftermath, but Claire's whereabouts during RE6 as well and still have a hypothetical Revelations 3 set between 6 and 7.

As we all know, the t-Veronica Virus was used to create the C-Virus in RE6, so perhaps Natalex could've taken samples of the t-Veronica Virus and used it to create a literal fear virus in another part of the world (Vancouver would be an ideal location, hehehe) since we all know her M.O. is literally making the whole world fear her. To that end, my idea of creating a hallucinogenic virus (by mixing it with hallucinogenic agents) makes perfect sense. It would pretty much go hand-in-hand with the adaptive properties of the T-Veronica virus, perhaps only mutating people with a certain blood type (or some other criteria) while causing everyone else it infects to suffer hallucinations/panic attacks, making infectees appear even more frightening in the process.

Again, Jill would be the perfect test subject given her unstable post-RE5 mental condition and for personal reasons (history w/the Wesker family), Claire, too (perhaps they could bring back the heart rate monitor). It could also explain the Bakers having a f'ed up personality by having them be the first test subjects in a game file.

I like your idea for the virus. I actually had ideas of my own for a virus like that. It just wouldn't have any relations to the T-Virus. Just hallucinations and fear :p I do quite like this. I don't think we need to throw Claire and Natalex together so soon, they just had their parting ways. Let someone else have a crack with her, like Jill as you said. And if we're going to have it in Vancouver. We totally need to get Maddy to have a Cameo in the game LMAO!

Now that I think about it, this idea could be used to kickstart another spin-off series to coincide with the Revelations series as well as the numbered titles.

New spin-off series (Desolation?)-Set during the previous game (explains what other characters were up to during that game's events).
Revelations-Set between the previous and most recent game.
Numbered Series-Set after the latest Revelations game.

This would allow more stories involving fan-favorite characters while they're still relatively young (the numbered titles are set by year of the game's release, so they only have so many more chances for exposure in the main/numbered series before they grow too old) while also expanding the longevity of the series, which is pretty much Capcom's cash cow. It might sound like overkill focusing on three different series' at once, but it could really pay off if done right.

It could also potentially make RE an annual or at least bi-annual release series.

Loving the idea of the hallucinogenic monsters and can agree that Claire needs a break after battling Alex in Revelations 2.
I think it is pretty inevitable that Barry will be featured in the next game with "Natalex". She is sleeping under his roof and that thought alone makes me concerned for him and his family. If anything drastic happens to Barry then obviously Moira needs to get involved.
Jill definitely needs to star in a game and Revelations 3 would be a perfect way to bring her back and maybe even have her deal with Alex to some extent.

I'd like to see Alex go mainstream though; she needs to have her story play out in a number-title. Alex is so well written and frighteningly close in her search for immortality. She is more threatening than any other villain presented in the series. Eventually this could lead to the closure for the older characters like Jill, Chris, and Leon.

The next number-title could revolve around all women at the rate the series is going! With Moira (alongside Claire) possibly avenging her family and Natalia, we could also have Jill team up with Ada and finally learn more about Ada and who she's working for (frankly I'm thinking it is some pretty elaborate undercover work). Have a side story where Chris meets up with Jake again as they are forced to work together and maybe even have a boss fight against mutated Piers who survived RE6 and started working under Alex (oh the irony). Lets not forget that Chris is still suffering from PTSD- it's not something that just goes away- so hallucinogenic monsters and traps will totally mess with him as well. Leon would also inevitably be featured because of Ada and have him partner up with Sherry.

There may be a lot going on and perhaps this could play out in 2 different games, but if Capcom sat down and really thought about how to present all of these mashups I'm sure they could make it work. It would probably end up being one long-ass game but hey, if they are looking to weed out the older characters then they better do it big and full of fan service.

Although some ideas are nice, I don't think we'll see Alex that soon. We also don't know how much Alex is in control of Natalia (and if there's a struggle.) All in all, she's just a kid for now and I don't think the series will put us against a child. So, if Alex is to become a villain in Natalia's body, we may have to wait a little for it to happen.
As a character for a possible Revelations 3, I think Jill is good. We got a lot of Chris and Leon lately, we had Claire in Rev2 (And you have to be careful where you put Claire or else is just her damn bad luck, that made a civilian present in all sorts of outbreaks.). So Jill is a core character we don't see since 2009, so I guess it's about time.

We don't know that it's HER body she'll be controlling, though, if that makes any sense. She could very well end up mutating herself again, very possible, actually.

I highly doubt Alex had intentionally keeping herself out of the limelight for so long as part of her long-term plans. After all, she does plan in advance for every variable.

There are some really good ideas here. I'm not sure if Alex should be connected to RE7, and would kind of like that to be about what happens when Umbrella's viruses seep into the environment without anyone bothering with a cleanup. That being said, given how that game seems to run on psychological horror, she could be brought in somehow.

I do very much like the idea of a shaken Jill facing off against her. If she gets back into contact with Barry, this could easily put her in contact with Natalex. As to Claire, I agree that her interactions with Natalex should be minimal for now, but she could come in through her Terrasave work. One possible storyline would be to have her go into parts of Kijuju to help feed the people, only to find that that there are pockets of the outbreak still in existence. This could see her interacting with Sheva or Josh (or maybe both). I do like the Jake/Chris team-up; also, we need to find out more about that scene at the end of RE6 where Jake is fighting those monsters in the Middle East on behalf of the child with the apple.

In my Las Plagas thread, I put forth the idea that there could be a conflict in the future between Natalex's organization and a regrouped Plaga army. The t-phobos virus might not work on them, as their drive to expand seems to override all other concerns, and unless Natalex got her hands on a Master Plaga, she and her supporters would only be viewed by them as primitive mammals that need to be assimilated. Of course, she would not go down easy. I like the idea of a series called Desolation. Maybe the beginning could be like Revelations 1 and have a heavier action component, maybe taking place in Latin America or India, and dealing with an outright war between the two factions. There could also be covert actions occurring all throughout the world with the two sides infiltrating different levels of government to strike at each other, leading to all kinds of problems. The cast could consist of Chris, Sherry, Jake, Sheva, and two new characters, with the BSAA fighting desperately to keep the conflict contained. Ultimately, both factions are seemingly defeated, but behind the scenes, Natalex and the leaders of the Plaga agree to cooperate and let the war play out to eliminate the weaker elements.

The sequel could be more horror oriented, with a modified t-phobos virus gradually causing outbreaks of madness. In this one, Leon, Claire and Jill could be the main characters. Jill would be dealing with the continuing psychological effects of her brainwashing in the face of the t-phobos spread, and Leon might be forced to be host to another embryo, changing him into the perfect soldier Saddler had wanted. Indeed, maybe Leon could be the villain of the game for at least part of the time, like another Nemesis or Ustanak. Imagine having to repeatedly fight an unstoppable, dead-eyed Leon that never stopped coming. Jill's mission could, at least for a time, be almost exclusively survival horror, like Little Miss, with her having to fight her own demons while avoiding enemies. As for Claire and Leon, it would be like a twisted version of RE2. Claire would be constantly on the run, fighting enemies while staying one step ahead of Leon. There would be a final fight, but Leon would survive and join up with Natalex, setting up a big conflict in the sequel featuring Ada where the mission would be to save Leon and break up Natalex's alliance with Las Plagas. The world would be saved in the immediate, but Natalex could go to do more plotting while Las Plagas sets up semi-independent "provinces" throughout the world, drawing in willing supporters who want to be part of a society that claims to be at peace with itself and has no internal conflicts.

Interesting ideas, MM. More to the point, I just thought of all the different freaky monster/jumpscare scenarios you could pull off with hallucinogens (just thought of these for my game idea page I'm working on right now):

The zombies could basically look like your run-of-the-mil old-school zombies, but their faces could be mutilated in extremely graphic detail as a result of hallucinogenic effects, i.e: cartilage dangling out of deep depressions in their mutated skull, even wrapped around their exposed brain (ugh, sounds vomit-inducing just thinking about it). Not only that, but their appearance actually changes, becoming increasingly more frightening and sick-looking as your heart rate increases and your character nears death.

Classic monsters, such as Lickers, zombie dogs, etc. could be brought back in a much more advanced and scarier form. I.E: Lickers basically take the form of ghoul/demon-like monsters that randomly reach out and try to pull you from under bathroom stalls, darkened hallway corners. The dogs could resemble zombie/mutant werewolves with an exposed skeletal rib cage encased in Uroboros mass and a Plagas in its heart.

As for Natalex, while playing as Claire, she's basically Lisa from P.T., randomly appears through doorway cracks, down halls, randomly popping out of trap doors (got an Evil Dead vibe just now, LOL), ventilation systems, etc., even have a close up shot of her terrifying face randomly flash on-screen during a hallucinating cutscene after turning a hallway corner, donning a very zombie/ghost-like appearance. At one point, her mutated hand even slides out of a cuff port and she peers at you through the exposed peephole as you try opening a door (perhaps this could be her first appearance as a sort of "tease") or even while trying to unlock a door with Jill's lockpick. When she's not jumping at you from out of nowhere, she can be heard speaking to you through "voices" in your character's head, screeching, echoes, etc.

Also, just now I got a really awesome (or not, LOL) idea of what to make her look like. To really hit home the scare effect, maybe they could use Mary Shaw (Dead Silence) or the zombie girl (Devon) from Disturbed's "Inside the Fire" music video posted below as a template. She appears during the guitar solo IIRC (and quite frankly, I don't want to) though I must warn you it's not for the faint of heart, they even put a disclaimer warning you of its content before the vid starts (oh God, I'm gonna have nightmares having to look at anything remotely resembling either one of their faces again):

Imagine a Devon-looking Natalex randomly jumping out at you in P.T. Lisa-like fashion, I can only imagine that would cause a LOT of literal heart attacks while playing. She literally has to be seen in the posted vid to be believed of just how goddamn freaky she looks (just know that you can't unsee it), she looks scary as ****, arguably moreso than Lisa.

Chris doesn't have PTSD, he had post-traumatic amnesia from his injury, which he has recovered from.

Anyway, I think Ada will be in a third game, Revelations would be a very appropriate title for a game about her. Hopefully without Leon though, he isn't necessary at all.

Based on the RE5 live action trailers along with what occurs during the events of RE6, it's pretty safe to say that he has PTSD to some extent.

^Pretty much.

Also, if in fact THE Wesker is still alive, the second spin-off series (Desolation has a nice ring to it indeed) would be a good place to feature him. Like I said, Revelations would be the prequel series while Desolation would be the side-story series, it would serve a nice function, and canonically, it makes sense. The outbreaks occurring in RE5 and 6 aren't the only outbreaks in the entire world. It would also be a good way of revealing what some of the original characters were up to during RE7 like so many people want.
