I think it would be an interesting spin on the story. As long as it doesn't turn out like the resident evil extinction movie. That was just horrible :/

If it's Post-apocalyptic, I would hope to see all the characters of the series so I could know who survived. We all know there are some characters who just haven't gotten the highlight in far too long.

I agree...i mean extinction was good for a movie, just not RE...and if it goes post apacalyptic then i agree it should have all the characters...Carlos and Leon would be awesome together in a game..

Nooooo! I wouldn't like it. For me that would feel way too rushed, not to mention people would have kittens if their favorate characters were killed off screen. Do you remember how the hardcore Jill fans reacted when they showed Chris visiting her grave in a RE5 trailer?

If RE6 was apocolyptic I would feel like there is nothing else left after that. That's exactly what they are trying to prevent. Prohaps the end or infection of another city would be better, it would look like an apocolypse (Like in RE2 and 3) but the rest of the world would still be ok...for now.

I think its an inevitability for the series. Eventually there will be a massive pandemic. But it probably won't be on the same level as Extinction. But I think for the next games we are going to start seeing bioweapons-induced war. We'll know more about the state of the post-RE5 world when Damnation comes out but I doubt it will be apocalyptic.

I would love to see it go post-apocolyptic. But, they need to have all of the original characters included. And when it seems like the end for the heros, a ghost from someone's past comes back................without his Lugers!

I was thinking about a post apocalyptic RE. The best thing to happen in that situation would be for the survivors of Raccoon City to all get together. Chris and Leon would meet and so would Claire and Rebecca. That would be cool.

I do belive Chris and Leon have met, it was just an off-screen meeting...though i could be wrong...

You do mean Steve right, because that would be sweet...

Well Leon contacted Chris about Claire in CODE Veronica but we never see them interact. I want to see Chris, Jill, Leon, Claire, Rebecca, and Barry all in a single game working as a team.

Not only that, but i have reason to believe they've met more than that once off-screen, but either way, youre right, they all need to be in one game together..

I was just curious, but i agree actually...i like him in DC a lot better...

Yep. He was funnier: "Yeah, the gaurds used the compuyers for games... oh yeah, and porn." XD. Oh, I'm going to make a thread somewhere about live-action movie ideas. I'll msg you them first, though.

I like the idea if it is done well, the whole feeling of 28 days Later as opposed to RE:Extinction. I think with the right atmosphere and a good balance between tension and action it could start a new cycle of the games. Perhaps focus only on a single city (London, Paris, somewhere metropolitan with various locales such as streets, buildings, underground stations) with that in mind 'd be very happy with a poost-apocalyptic setting.

That could allow new characters to be inroduced, perhaps with cameos of faces of old to give a back story "Before the end this happened.....blah blah blah"

If it is done right it will be amazing and to above poster I agree Leon and Carlos Olivera would be a really good team. Also Finally seeing Chris and Leon interact would be interesting

Indeed, Leon and Chris interaction would be interesting...
In any case I want Ada! I loved Separate Ways and Assignement Ada...

And topic-wise: post apocalyptic, NO, it didn't work for the movies, it won't work for the games...
Dont's misinterpret me, I like the movies as a different and very fun interpretation of RE, also, Milla kicks ass and I kind of had a petit mort when I saw battlesuit Jill at the end of Afterlife... But man, they suck plot-wise!
I still can't wait for Retribution XD

I think most zombie situations are destined to be apocalyptic. You have to remember its not just humans infected, but animals that would hasten the spread of the virus. Whether they kill (or infect) the worlds population or people kill everything trying to stop the virus. I think it would eventually reach that point but if they should go that route, there needs to be a transitional game first. Something that shows more of an actual downfall than an isolated outbreak.
