I don't read every post so I don't know, this thread is getting a bit "tl, dr" to me. But a good advice to anyone feeling hot is to wait a bit and return later to post.

My only issue so far is a number of double-posting and triple-posting. Use multi-quote (ask if you don't know how), or edit if you forgot something.

Lol...My thing about it being hot was supposed to be a joke making fun of JMG and SVP because they're taking this WAY to seriously...Just figured I should let ya know Romeo...

why you trying to nit-pick everything I say man? who said it was about you? I am just trying to have a normal cultural discussion on what people from other nations think of America. I don't need some Bill Maher/anti America know it all trying to pick fights with me. I'm tired of writing paragraphs on useless crap. lets agree to disagree man. I don't mean to have any trouble, I like friendly debates but I don't feel the need to talk politics on a game website. :)

now that is a sexy car, could be an ugly toad and still get any girl I want in that thing

Merged.
The only thing missing, is a sexy pair of legs, strutting across the road as the car is waiting at the lights, know what i mean.

I work at a hotel at Niagara Falls, ON, so during the peak seasons I meet people from all sorts of countries every single day. One thing I can take away from it all: you have nice people and dickheads from EVERYWHERE. I've met people from Alabama who made me wanna cry and scream, and then I had some New Yorkers who came out and partied hard with us. The only thing that kind of bothered me about most Americans is that y'all, for one reason or another, seem unable to differentiate Canadian money from Monopoly money and it gets on my right nerves. :p And American politics can best be summed up as 'show business for ugly people'. I love it because its a million times more ridiculous and entertaining than our boring 'tame' politics out of Canadia.

I went to Niagara Falls when I was 16 or 17 (7 or 8 years ago) and when I went to exchange my currency into Canadian, I asked the lady, "Do you ever find an American nickle randomly in your change?" Everyone around me, including the lady exchanging the money, rolled so hard. She told me that made her day and that she'd never forget me. xD

haha yeah us New Yorkers know how to party! :p thanks for your response in the post. I wish I can move to Canada, everything seems more peaceful there, you guys don't bother with the whole political crap in America and I like that. you have a too cool for school attitude. wish I was livin there now, could actually get into bars and drink. whats it like to have a 18 and up drinking age? does it work for your country? America should loosen up.

I think its because Canadian coins always end up in our (American coins). I have found a bunch over the years.

The same happens in Norway, we sometimes get Swedish coins in the change. And I guess Norwegian coins accidentally find their way into Swedish change also. But Swedish money is worth 10-15% less than our money so we don't like it so much.

But I can't imagine a question like the one you asked that lady would be so funny if asked in Norway or Sweden, so I guess something is different.

haha yeah In America it is a pain in the butt to buy alcohol unless you have a fake ID, even then you could get arrested lol I have never owned one. It sucks because the drinking age is 21 here, so that means even clubs are closed off to minors. I have been lucky a few times. I knew some friends in NYC that had connections to night clubs ....so I got in. If you are an attractive girl sometimes they don't card you, but for guys it sucks. but there still are a bunch of clubs that go 18 up, only you cant buy drinks without a wristband. But whatever I still like living here. I wana go clubin in Europe though, maybe hit up some techno clubs.

It's funny how you quote me but totally change the subject. :p

Here you have to be 21 in order to buy booze but everything else is 18.

oh sorry I like to rant on about stuff like that, got too carried away I guess. I thought the last part of your comment was about my drinking age question to the lady. :p yeah its weird getting different change in your own countries change. especially when its a Canadian dollar coin. America doesn't have dollar coins. do you like living in Norway?

It's not that we don't deal with the political crap... it's just that Canada is so moderate and her political culture is so non-extreme that when political parties change, it's not often that you actually notice a hugely substantial difference. You have a slightly right party, a slightly left party, and a slightly-more left party. :p And I found it kinda funny that one of the last big riots Canada had in the past five years happened because we lost a fricken' hockey game. You don't see that anywhere else. But to be fair, it was a really important hockey game. :p

The drinking age is actually 19 and up in Ontario, where I reside. Which is pretty cool, because that's the age most people are when they enrol in university so it comes when most people are entering a new phase in their life anyway. Apart from the LCBO, however, you're rarely carded at bars anyway (not the same for clubs) unless you look like you're 10.

I live in Missouri in the US, and I'm nearly never carded here, despite being only seventeen...I guess it's the stubble on the chin and the mustache...You're also not allowed to gamble unless you're 18 or 21, depending on the casino, and I've only been carded at a casino once...Even then, they were obviously too lazy to do the math, because even though I was too young, they didn't say a thing...Ended up walking out thirty five dollars richer...

It was all about that lady finding your money question so funny.

I do have an American 1-dollar coin.

It's okay living here, but too many things annoys me. Sometimes I want to leave. Too much socialism, and in some areas too little freedom.

So are dollars in coin format as well as paper? Why is that?

/complete ignorance of anything that isn't to do with, say, toast.

Yeah love the one dollar coin, though its a bit rare to find. I'm sorry to hear about that In Norway. Every government needs to have a balance in order for it to work in my opinion.

They were coins back in the day. I think my 1-dollar coin is from the 1920s. It's huge.

We are a good country and are ranking high on most lists where you want to rank high. When I say we have little freedom in some areas (not geographical areas), it doesn't mean we are like Cuba. Areas where I want more freedom are for the most part related to property, we have too much restrictions, especially on farmland. And if someone breaks into my home and I beat them up, I get in trouble, not the perpetrator. I can defend myself and my property with force only if they try to kill me. If they don't try to kill me I just have to sit and watch them take my stuff.

that sucks, has that ever happened to you? I have been robbed a lot, especially from my college roommate, he was from Finland lol. yeah, America has the same BS law that doesn't require self defense (guns or whatever) unless you actually get attacked. I was never attacked but I have been in many fights. That law sucks because if the person comes into your house...it might be too late until you notice that he has a gun. though some US states let a registered person carry a gun around
