Operation Raccoon City the end...opinions?

just beat the last spec ops mission but im really confused about the ending:

you beat the parasite tyrant then save leon and claire. after that echo six is told they have to stay in raccoon because there a "new threat only they can take care of". as far as we know, RC was blown to **** shortly after they escape. i think there could either be a sequel, or theyre just setting it up for more DLC (cause capcoms a whore).

so whats everyone opinions on the game now that its over, and what do you think the new threat is? im really interested to hear your opinions on the ending cause as an RE fan im confused as to what else they could do.

Probably a sequel, since the game was considered a hit, with more than 2 million copies sold worldwide, and a produce promised the fans that if the game was a hit, he would push for a sequel where Barry would be a playable character. So, most likely, a sequel.

what i was thinking is since this is a "what if" scenario, maybe raccoon city was never bombed. hell itd be interesting but idk how they would pull it off.
