so...

For the past few months, we have been teased by this 'bird woman'. And, only recently have I actually been doing some research.

First, we know it's a woman by the way she walks. But also, would a man wear high heels?

No. In the screenshot, we see the mysterious woman wearing high heels:

Also, the woman is wearing a camouflage poncho:

So...
Possibly to hide and observe Chris and Sheva?
Or is it (like Metal Gear solid) a special camouflage?

The mask...

This is what is weird.
The mask looks as if it is a form of gas mask, though it is not. As seen in this screencap of trailer, we can very barely see an eye:

The lense seems to have a red tint, much like H.U.N.K's gas mask. My theory, is that it has some form of heads up display.

Her Powers.
As seen in this trailer (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fU9icbfd_UU), she displays incredible powers, much like Wesker. It is either that she has been infected with the T-Virus like Wesker, or she is just created by an unknown force.

My opinion, is that this 'bird woman' is a totally new character, seeing as Jill wasn't infected with the T-Virus and Sherry... Well, I don't know.

Thanks.

Well, wasn't Jill technically infected in RE:3 by Nemesis? She got the cure but there could be a chance that it was still inside her...

i think that maybe somehow remotely ada could be involved. also i have a hunch that jill could also be involved undercover

There's a good chance that the "Bird Woman" is Ada. After all, she does work for the S Corporation, the rival of Umbrella. And might I add, so does Wesker. Though he seems to have plans to remake Umbrella.

well yeah it kinda looks like it would be ada but my money is on jill .....
Ah yes. Possibly the vaccine was just a suppressant. I see. Nice one! :)
Hmm.. It being Ada seems logical, but what I don't understand about the BW possibly being Ada, is that how did she manage to work for Wesker? The BW is probably a 'henchwoman' for his organization.

But, that's me :)

Well, it has been 4 years since Resident Evil 4. That is plenty of time for some drastic changes. Still, that's a good point.

This is probably way off the mark and I'm about to be proved wrong by somebody, but... what about Chris's sister Claire?

She never did find him in RE2 and may have followed him to Africa..

I know there's probably no chance of that but we might as well look at every angle.

Haha. Told you I'd be proved wrong.

However, she still may have followed him and be working from the inside to protect him...

My theory:
I think it's Jill... She faked her death and pretends to be working with Wesker and Excella. Later in the game, Wesker finds out it is her, uses the progenitor or T-veronica in her body and places her on the tube.
"Now that your "partner" has arrived, I will leave you two to catch up"(Wesker) Maybe he was talking about Jill/Chris and not Sheva....She could be a boss, but in the end, Chris finds a cure for her (in the beta version of RE4, Leon was infected with the prog. and he would probably find a cure in the end). ::)

Not too credible though, because there is already a fake death in the series (Wesker)... Maybe she har a car crash, but survived due to the T-virus and escaped the place... :-\

I must say Bruno.. I like the way you think!

Everything you just said makes me think it's Jill. We'll still have to wait and see though..

Yeahh... As far as I'm concerned, the Birdwoman is Jill. There's been so many years between RE3 and RE5, anything could have happened to her in that time limit. I have my fingers crossed for Jill... 8D

i find out that the BW is wearing gold-trimmed shoes, black leggings, and i think a white shirt and a dark blue skirt but idk since i found this on resident evil wiki

there is also a other option to this BW, in the tricell trailer there is a blonde girl in a red dress she might the BW
