I'm going to start on professional mode soon. I was wondering if I will be able to buy the rocket launcher and typewriter that I unlocked, in pro mode? I realize that even if I am able to buy them its going to be a b*tch to save up 1,000,000 pesetas and still buy the guns I will need to get that far. I think the most I ever had on my first playthrough was 200,000. So any tips on making a quick buck?

Playing Professional would particularly mean starting a whole new game altogether. You won't be able to load up your previous save files on either easy/normal (same goes with every other mode, as once you choose one, you can never change it). So yes, you have to buy the infinite rocket launcher and chicago typewriter again.

For me, when I first played Pro, I simply used a guide to get all treasures. Works for me, as I was able to buy one of both (CTW) for the next playthrough.

What I thought I could do was beat the game again in normal mode, then with all the money I saved up start pro mode then buy the rocket and typewriter. But it doesn't seem possible to do that.

I guess they do have it set that way because it's not really professional mode if you can buy the rocket launcher or typewriter right off the bat. No challenge really. :)

Well I started professional and the Chicago Typewriter and the Infinite Rocket Launcher are not available (although I was able to pick beween the 2 special suits) so I guess you have to start from a cleared game to get them.

Yeah it kinda sucks. I guess it wouldn't be a challenge if they let you buy the infinite ammo weapons on your first professional playthrough. But on my next professional playthrough I AM GONNA KICK SO MUCH ASS!

Do you get to keep your money from the previous game?
I'm filthy rich and it would suck to be broke again. :(

It's worth doing !! thats all I can say !! Just remmember what you learned from all the boss fights and you should be fine lol It took me alot longer to finnish the game on Pro mode then it did to finnish the game on any other difficulty...

The thing that I got stuck on the most was getting past those damn boulder traps It's somethign I struggle with the most, rappidly pressing buttons..

My advice would be to stick with your most fav guns so you dont waste money . . .

I think I beat pro mode haha It was so long ago... but I did play that game on GC and PS2 a hell of alot!! I think I musta beat it at least once on pro. The game was so awesome haha should come out for xbox360 lol...

Yep. I'm not gonna buy or upgrade guns I'm not gonna keep because I know you can only get half of that money back by selling. Gonna lookout more for those combinable treasures too.

i never beat RE4 on pro. its too hard for me, expesially the times when u gotta tap the buttons fast lol

I never had a problem with the rapid tapping, but Krauser did slit my throat a few times on my first playthrough...

I was lucky to get my PS3 in '08, which I think was the only year Sony made the 80 gig model which was the last backwards compatible model. So I can still play all my PS2 games!

What weapons do u unlock when u beat separate ways and assignment Ada?

Chicago Typewriter I think.

I think that's a good idea!! Hold on to the crown jewels after you beat the right hand man those are worth alot of money once you combine them with the crown :P 30k I think it's worth.

I just killed that bastard Mendez. He was pretty damn hard on pro. He didn't kill me once on normal but this time around he killed me a few times. I'm at the castle now and I got my Blacktail, Riot Gun, and Semi-Auto Rifle. But I'm still not looking forward to fighting any Garradors...

Sounds to me like someone needs to open a can of whoop ass, Suplex style...it's the best way Lol that big cheese guy is pretty tough though... you gotta pound him with alot of bullets

I personally think you'll have better luck with Striker opposed to the Riot Gun,no pumps between shots, plus it holds more amo i believe. If you need long range use TMP. I would say use a rocket on the Garradors, but it's expensive.

Made the same mistake myself, so I'm playing through professional now, started with the 2nd bonus costume set so it'll at least be easier to keep Ashley alive due to her being in an invulnerable set of armor.

i just never got past the rapid tapping lol, and the enemies took too many shots to kill. im not too good at RE4 but i own at RE1,2,3 and 5.

for RE1 i beat it with jill and chris on original version and directors cut,

i beat RE2's all 4 main senarios on hard and the 4th survivor, tofu and ex battle with chris on level 3 and leon on level 2,

for RE3 i beat it on easy and hard, and mercenaries for all characters (even nicholai :)) and i unlocked all the epilouges

part 1

part 2

at the end of part 2 you'll see my high scores for all the mercs

for RE5 i beat it on amatuer, normal veteran and im currently on chapter 3-1 for pro

i donno but that RE4 rappid button tap i just cant pass on pro but i also unlocked the handcannon for normal :D
