Revelations 2 Revelations 2 2nd Trailer feat. Barry Burton

I don't care if Barry is back, I'll never forgive the recasting of Claire's VA.

*People complaining about Barry looking different in 3... 2... 1...*

Rely On Horror reveals even more news, including the identity of that little girl at the end and... oh well, just click the link, it's all there:

Neeews!

I haven't been this excited for an RE game in a while! And I'm pretty much always excited for them (other than, ORC and the original Revelations). Barry and Claire are two of my top four characters I most want to see come back, and here they are co-starring in a new game! Now all I need is a new game with Rebecca and Billy and I can die happy. Capcom are taking a lot of steps in the right direction as far as I'm concerned! Pretty stoked right now. :D

BARRY BURTON

A boat traverses the ocean, at its helm a man staring at the island ahead with a pained expression. That man is Barry Burton, advisor for the BSAA anti-bioterrorism organisation.

"Somebody help! My name is Moira Burton..."Moira's cry for help plays over the tape recorder as Barry heads for the island. Will his daughter miraculously still be OK?

Shortly after reaching the island, Barry meets a little girl. She says her name is Natalia but she can't remember anything else. Unable to just leave her to fend for herself, Barry takes Natalia with him on his rescue mission.

BARRY BURTON

Barry's an expert with a lot of combat experience who even made it out of the Mansion Incident alive when he was in S.T.A.R.S. Since the Raccoon incident he has worked as an adviser for the BSAA.

When his daughter Moira suddenly disappears, he heads out to rescue her by himself.
Barry's "features"

Anti-bioterrorism expert Barry has excellent shooting and close-quarters combat capabilities. He can use a variety of guns and has a spotlight and survival knife amongst the equipment he's brought to this dangerous island in order to rescue his daughter. However, even for an expert like Barry this is a dangerous place to be, especially given that he has to protect a little girl at the same time.

I totally agree with you !!! Also Id love a HD remake of the outbreak series

There's a lot do pictures of barry and Natalia on resident evils FB page but I can't share them on here using my phone.

Edit:
And I just want to say Barry looks old but just as awesome as ever. Throw in a couple of "OMG did he really just say that" one liners and he's going to be my favourite character of the game.

...Why? This girl may be just as good, if not better. You shouldn't NOT play a game just because of a VA change. Hell, Leon has changed Three times, and is excellent each time. Well..Maybe original RE2 isn't excellent, but it's not bad...

As for Barry returning. I'm so ready for this game, but I'm not psyched that yet AGAIN you have a partner with you the entire damned game...

To be honest I never really noticed Leon's VA change, but I never really cared for Leon anyway.
I will probably notice Claire because I thought her voice actor was very good before and it made me like her character more. Oh well just as long as they don't ruin her character in other ways she will be great still.

Leon's voice didn't matter as much because every voice he had was almost similar, But Alyson Court's voice was a massive thing that made Claire into the loveable protagonist we know and love, now she sounds generic and boring. Claire was one of the very few characters I wanted to see return and now I never wanna see her again, also Barry will end up sucking too, I don't know how but Capcom always finds a way to screw up good things.

I'm not buying this game at all, I don't even wanna rent it or torrent it.

...Yes, she sounds bland and boring from the whole 10 minutes we've seen her...

I guess some people are just story hounds... They buy games based on character voices/portrayals rather than for its gameplay.
Don't get me wrong, Voice Acting is important in modern day gaming, but as long as the voice actor is TALENTED, and we can believe them, then does it really matter?

Resident Evil used to have atrocious voice acting. So I don't see why it really matters. While it does suck to see a character lose a voice they were known for, it still doesn't make a break a game. That's just pure butthurt.

It had atrocious voice acting in the 90's when voices in games was a newer thing. Nowadays atrocious voice acting WOULD make or break a game. However, if the voice actor is different but still a good ACTOR, then it doesn't matter.
