I know that wiki is not to be trusted, but the one for the film states that Rain injected herself with a plagas, so maybe she will be like a female Krauser if true. I don't know exactly where in the trailer, but it shows Rain in similar white garb to all the ones freed on the ship so mabe she was held captive on Arcadia in the years after the first movie.
I know that the plagas example doesn't really explain her survival given the circumstances, so I do look forward to finding out how the "dead are coming back". Knowing the series 50/50 chance it makes sense as long as you don't think about it, or the explanation actually kills some of your brain cells.
