This is really cool thread and I'm excited to see what gets posted here. I know that some of the users here have some fantastic fanart and some even engage in fan-fiction. Hopefully they will chose to share theirs ^.^
Personally I've done a few things. I've made two Resident Evil music videos which can be viewed in my signature if you click the fancy colored links. I also personally ran a Resident Evil fan site/page, I still dabble on it from time to time but I haven't been too seriously active with it lately. Maybe in the future.
As a game designer/narrative designer I've come up with ideas for a few Resident Evil games. Currently I don't really bother writing any of it down since I doubt Capcom is going to hire me as a narrative designer, but I burn them into my memory quite well. Originally I had ideas for a trilogy of games. Right now I got ideas kicking around for a game that would take place in 2018 staring Chris that is focused on both puzzles and horror minus the first 20% which is quite action based and is a prelude to the horrors that follow. The game is very narrative driven with a fair few twists and shock factor moments. By design I would place Chris in a position where his B.S.A.A. training servers him very little and therefore leaves him as powerless as he was in the original game. I believe you can still have horror elements with older characters, but the narrative must fit that as do the environmental conditions along with psychological effects placed upon both Chris and the player. It actually surprises me that Capcom hasn't figured out how to do this yet and pose these characters as "super heroes". There are multiple creative ways of doing so for example in my case it would be a controlled environment engineered by the antagonist and Chris is struggling not only for his survival, but the survival of his squadmates. He is in an environment where his choices become illusionary as the mastermind behind the events play with their fates. It shows the struggle of trying to survive in a hopeless world that is rigged against you. Exploring the cost of being a survivor against such grim odds. Storywise there will be a couple of returning characters with interesting roles to play, despite a two of them being high risk-high reward roles.
Much like you I get creative in walks. I've came up with some movie ideas thanks to my narrative design and mild experience but extreme interest in the world of acting. Though my Resident Evil movie ideas are less ideas for "Resident Evil" and more of being apart of something bigger and more ambitious. That being said I have zero skills in directing. None at all and directors look like magicians to me, what they do is literally magic.
Have you thought about doing filmmaking for Youtube videos or anything that you can realistically apply your talent and interest in?
