Its a rumour and could be fake! All they have is an image from the box , anyway looks good! http://www.vg247.com/2013/05/20/resident-evil-7-poster-points-to-e3-2013-reveal-rumour/

I hope they do have Jill in 7, I think they should have Jill and Chris as the main team, Claire and Leon as back up, and some guest appearances in the other modes. Mainly i hope the online is good, it keeps me coming back to re, and i hope they really make some kind of monster mercenaries mode with all the levels and characters from previous Re games!

Yeah I would love a more open explorable world, with puzzles and dangers everywhere. Dead Island is a good style, but the way the story went crazy worldwide on 6 they might need several locations to explore that unlock when you do the main quest.

I'd still take this with a pinch of salt though. Don't forget that RE6 only came out 8 months ago, and although Capcom said they were shaving the time it took them to get new installments out, they still said that they were hoping for a two and a half year wait. That'd put RE7 somewhere around March 2015. Although it pains me to say it, I doubt that this is true. :(

EDIT: Another point. Capcom are using Revelations to judge the reaction of fans and see which direction they should continue in with RE. Since E3 is so close to the release of Revelations on console, that leaves them very time to receive feedback, judge the reaction and act upon it. So I can't see this being legitimate. :(

Resident Evil 6 was left at a cliff hanger of sorts... Also they bring out a call of duty every single November!!! -you know about the next one 3months after the last ones release and no one stops those games, lol!! -doesn't mean it will be out right away if they announce it E3 could be another year wait. Hopefully not though cause Ill be craving a resident evil for my PS4 !! -Heres hoping a box set for 4-6 compatible with the ps4

They already know they have a conflicted fan base, and most people vastly prefered leons campaign in re6. I dont think revelations is anything other than a cash in! They already know it was warmly recepted and people love the survival/explorable style game. Hopefully they do something new and brave on the next generation. Please not another linear action game!
They bound to not wait that long. Re2 remake on the next gen or some kind of downloable r.e. games will be out soon after the new console i hope until they make re7

I've seen this article on a few sites. Capcom knows they tried to please everyone and it backfired. They're planning to focus more on one element, and I agree that the lack of focus in 6 was truly what made it such a gong show, all the other flaws were side effects of it. I don't think Capcom (if they have any good judgement at all) are going to push out the next game in less than a year. It would just be suicide. I could see them doing a remake of 2/3.
Frankly, I don't really care why they ported Revelations, I'm glad that they did. I'm really liking it. I'm searching for keys and looking around, and feeling a little creeped out just like the old days. It even looks a lot better than RE6 in a lot of ways, and the campaign is WAY more fun IMO. With it already getting 7/10 reviews from the same people that bashed RE6, and the talk of being more focused, I'm really looking forward to RE7. But I think we're going to see it on the PS4/XBOX One.

Good god, using COD as example of making yearly games. Who wants that for RE?

I don't think trying to please everyone with RE6 was bad. What was bad that they didn't differentiate the campaigns much despite saying so. Everyone had pretty much the same plentiful health and strength, and everyone could carry a boatload of weapons and items with them, and even the common enemies J'avo and zombies didn't act that differently. Basically what I'd do with RE7:

Jake and Ada campaign:
The secret ending hints at this. Both Jake and Ada are superhuman in RE. Their gameplay could be very fast, smooth and powerful, and plenty melee and finesse oriented. Basically take RE6 but make it even smoother with tweaked camera that supports the faster pace.

Claire and <redacted> campaign:
Claire and Leon is always a good candidate. They are both experienced zombie slayers but they are implied to do it with smarts, endurance and improvisation. They are much weaker than Jake and Ada, but they are resourceful and well-prepared anyway. Lets say this would be something like RE4, aggressive and rushing playstyle isn't encouraged and there are plenty of puzzles.

Noob campaign:
Someone who has no experience with zombies or mutants. Single player by default to maximize difficulty. Pretty much one bite by a zombie is game over. The noob is slow, weak, gets tired quickly and has no easy access to powerful weaponry. Needs to evade monsters, save ammo and think and most of all dare to proceed despite the lethal risk. This would be something like RE1-3, but with 3rd person camera most of the time.

But if they really plan to focus on just aspect, I hope they take the acclaimed Resident Evil 4 as a core and build a semi-open environment around it. A new city or a <redacted>-Umbrella facility full of new and old creatures. Lots of puzzles and scavenging made worthwhile. Take RE1/2 style approach and build many alternative storylines for different characters. BSAA builds a team out of Chris, Jill, Claire, Leon, Barry, Sherry, Sheva, Jake, Ada, Helena, Rebecca, Carlos and sends them in, and not all of them make it out alive.

I would like to see Chris and Claire working together, for once (Darkside Chronicles doesn't count).
However, Claire is not very likely to star in another RE, since she's more on the political side of the fight now.

love the umbrella facility idea :) - I also thought it would be amazing If they did a prequel !!-Have the Bravo teams story. You could go all out with this! Have the team infiltrate other umbrella facilities, fights in a huge creepy forest, take the fight to the grounds of the mansion then of course re visit the mansion with new puzzles, quests, monsters, boss fights. - the best idea ever , you get background stories on the new squad, new characters, lead up to the death of forrest! http://residentevil.wikia.com/Forest_Speyer

It seems to early to be legit to me, but if it is true, I think Jill and Claire would have to be in it after the whole 'are Jill and Claire going to be in RE6?' outcry.

Lurking is my jam.
I've had a thought Why not make a game based on the movies?

I find Resident Evil And Afterlife the best canidates. but the biggest flaw with that is it's to short. Just replace the movies cast with RE characters and if I ever see alice in a Resident evil game I'm finished with the series.

If not Why not try use ALL Re charcters and partner them up with the style of gameplay that suits them the best?

Ex: Leon & Claire= Zombies

Jake & Ada= B.O.W

Sherry and Chris-Not so sure yet Chris was more of a B.O.W guy (Maybe finish the J'avo?)

Jill & Carlos= A mix of Zombies and J'avo or have a mini Re3 in a way

Rebecca & Billy= The pair that gets stuck with more then 1 virus

Ect these are just my thoughts

I would have definitely played a game based on the first movie, when it seemed as though they could actually tie it in to the game. The maze of the hive would be a great basis for an exploration game. The characters were separate enough, and it was left pretty open for either an entirely different storyline, or one that tied somehow to the game. It had an element of fright to it too. Then they tried to bring in familiar characters, but massacre the storyline with Alice, and it completely lost me. It just got unfocused, action driven, and not as creative IMO.
Alice's character was based on Ada. I agree, for the two to be in the same world is ridiculous to me.

I think RE7 should be a Claire only game. We met everyone in pairs, but each played solo. Jill and Claire got their own games, then Leon, then Chris, and then the boys met up for a big reunion in 6, and Jill has another solo under her belt. I don't want another big match up, The massive multiplayer campaign thing was cool, but it was entirely new to the series and was 6's biggest downfall IMO. I want another well developed, focused, replayable solo like I lovingly remember with the character that I think a HUGE percentage of RE fans are waiting for, and who is simply next in line for a solo. Storyline-wise, she's obviously nowhere around or barely in contact ATM with the members of RE6 anyway, so it would make sense. Give her a new partner from Terra Save or something if they HAVE to add co op lol.

Unfortunately for me, RE:Revelations will be the last RE i will ever experience  since i am certainly not interested and acquiring the Xbox One [the new Xbox] and as for the PS4, which i would instead get....but, since the price for it is going to be pricey.....

oh well, at least my RE:Revelations was good, the better Resident Evil on the current consoles
