What happened to the bodies of the dead agents killed in the laser corridor?

Kaplan even mention it when they return to the room: "Where are the bodies?" "Where did they go?"

Never really put a lot of thought into this, valid question though. I guess I always just shrugged it off as a sort of homage to how some of the zombies you kill in the game disappear afterwards.

If I remember correctly, in the audio commentary Paul W.S. Anderson says the bodies disappear to pay homage to the enemies disappearing once killed in the games. To me, it always sounded like something they came up with so that they didn't have to show the mangled corpses. And, possibly, saving some money on realistic dummies and props.

Why didn't they just go to the alcoves by the queens room & the entrance door? They all could fit there and totally miss the lasers...????

Because then they wouldn't have an excuse to cut people up with lasers.
