it came in the mail the other day! the seal and everything is in great shape! :)
That's great! How much did it cost? And are you sure it has never been opened? It is possible to fake a seal, I have seen stuff sold on Ebay that was claimed to never have been opened, but on close look one could see on the photos that the item (a book) had stains on it!

It happens that I buy a second copy of games that I like very very much. :)

What are the differences between all those editions?

the original RE2 looks like this

http://media.photobucket.com/image/resident evil 2 playstation/micahiphone/re5.jpg

it is very commonly found on ebay, amazon, etc. and has hunk and the tofu senarios but no ex battle, arrange mode and no auto aim. and worth around $90-$100 sealed.

the dual shock edtion looks like this

http://content.answers.com/main/content/img/amg/games/drg000/g002/g00280097i0.jpg

it is a little harder to find than the original one. hunk, tofu, ex battle, arrange mode, auto aim. everythings there. worth around $150-$200 sealed.

here is the greatest hits edition

http://www.askcheats.com/images/PSX/R/Resident-Evil-2/8405-l.jpg

its probaly the hardest to find out of all three versions that came out for PS1. all the content thats in the dual shock edition is there. worth around $30-$60 sealed

Why did they call it Dual Shock, it has nothing to do with the Sony gamepad?

The last edition you mentioned, it's the hardest to find yet it's the cheapest one? Strange.

Hunk and Tofu are side missions, like Separate Ways in RE4?
What is "ex battle"?
What is "arrange mode"?

I'm sorry for asking so much.

in the dual shock versions you get auto aim and controller vibration. and this is what the ex battle looks like

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Owbo17XX1EU

you get to choose from 4 diffrent characters:

Leon
Claire
Chris
Ada

and there is 3 diffrent difficuties:

Lev 1
Lev 2
Lev 3

and you goal is to get from the umbrellas secret lab to the RPD. and while your at the station you have to collect 4 special bombs so you can detonate them at the train where the 'B Senarios' end.

arrange mode. witch the only diffrence i can find is that you start off with the sub machine gun and there is a gateling gun and a rocket launcher in the item box.

and i think that the reason why the one thats hardest to find is the cheapest sealed is beacuse it has the green greatest hits label that REALLY brings down the value for sealed RE games. for example the first RE directors cut with the guy on the cover is worth $180-$250 sealed and the green label verson with the zombie on the cover is worth $30-$60 sealed

The game seems terribly laggy, or is it just my computer? Hm..

Arrange mode sounds like the easy mode.

Edit,
What kind of creepy enemy is at 9:00?

RE2 has 2 CDs, one for Leon's game and one for Claire's game.
The first CD you play will be played in he A scenario and the second will be played in the B scenario. Each scenario corresponds to different locations of items, different locked/unlocked doors, different main enemies, etc (though the story is very different according to the characters). So, RE2 has a total of 4 different scenarios. The most correct one is Claire A/Leon B, but the canon story is a mix of all the four (the way it is in DSC).

I have this edition of the game. Except it has very much been opened and quite beaten up before I grabbed it for 15 bucks a year or so ago. As long as the discs work...

That explains it, thanks.

I think I know what DSC is but I must be having a brain lag or something. :pinch:

I've not played RE2 so I dont know how good it is lol but a sealed copy is cool if you liked the game.
If I was going to put up with that old camera style I'd play the RE1-REmake the graphics are so much better
Zombie_in_the_Backyard_by_wesker10.jpg

You can only play as Chris or Jill but you get lots of costumes It's out only on GameCube and Wii if I had a sealed copy of it on GC I'd look after it haha..
