I think many RE fans are not aware that RE1 originally would have a Japanese dub, which was scrapped before the final product hit the stores, Shinji Mikami said the reason the Japanese dub was scrapped is because it wouldn't be realistic to have a game that takes place in the US, with American characters speaking Japanese.
While Jill's voice doesn't really fit her in my opinion, Rebecca's is the opposite, since she's already kawaii-like in the original game.
Chris's voice is also cool to me, it is more serious than the American one, and also less cheesy, less B movie type.
