1) Considering the theme of mentioning age, I turn 21 in October yet look older than that. That also ties into a later point.
2) Thanks to the wonders of recessive genes, I am the only ginger in my family.
3) I speak with what is called received pronunciation; it's the standard accent of many Southerners here in England, though my voice is a tad (as some I know have called it) 'posh' with an American twang.
4) I am exceptionally good at learning the American political system but find our own parliamentary system dull.
5) With the age, I'm still in sixth form (the year group before university).
6) Tying into that is my incredible ability to have rare and dangerous genetic disorders. The latest that was found is a clotting mechanism caused by compression of the right iliac artery by the left common vein. 'Normally' for this condition, it's the right compressing left. I also have a genetically encoded resistance to protein C which is somehow involved in clotting (I don't remember half of what the specialists tell me to be honest). I have a clot in my right lung and clots in both legs (have done since 2012).
7) I also suffer from myalgic encephalitis (ME), more commonly called chronic fatigue syndrome, and fibromyalgia (a nerve disorder).
8) I am aiming to work in the City (it's the vague, ominous term we use for London or an area called the Square Mile) as a solicitor (my degree will be in law with the aim of doing a Masters). Everyone in my family has worked in the City so I'm going to carry on that tradition. Speaking of uni, had I not mucked up two key exams in my GCSEs, Oxbridge would've been a possibility. My mum had an offer from Cambridge for biomedical sciences but opted for Queen Mary, University of London. I've opted for Kent over Warwick as Kent is only 45 minutes away and honestly, I want to stay in the South for as long as I can.
9) Since October of last year, I have been on a low carbohydrate diet for the sake of my own health. In this period, I have lost nearly 4 stone (25kg) in total (from 18st 9 at my heaviest). I'm not exactly a scrawny guy, either.
10) I enjoy public speaking but also hate it. It's similar to how I view football: it's far more enjoyable when I played it than when I watch it. I did an assembly recently on domestic violence that proved quite cathartic.
Next one is a tad controversial so.... Spoilers.
12) I have suffered from MDD (major depressive disorder) multiple times in my life. I get recurrent bouts of it at the most inopportune time.
13) I've only ever had one 'true' partner. Safe to say, it didn't end well.
14) Despite previous assertions, I'm, as a good friend calls me, 'open minded' about my sexuality.
15) A psychiatrist that I saw informed me that I'm what is termed an 'empath'. Essentially, I can walk into any room and know immediately the mood of anyone in it. I also tend to care more for others than myself to the extent that I'll bend over backwards for them (having bad joints, that is highly inadvisable).
16) I love South East Asian cultures. While many, myself included, would say that they love Korea predominately for the music that is produced (to me it's so damned good), I find the history of Korea and the China/Taiwan situation riveting topics.
17) Finally, I'm a nerd on multiple levels (Star Wars, History, Supreme Court decisions, pointless trivia, psychology and for some reason, despite having been useless at biology, the mechanisms of various illnesses and the like).

11) When it comes to political stances, I'm strange. I'm very much a liberal when it comes to certain personal rights (for one, I believe that gay marriage should be legal) but I'm a heavy supporter of corporations (saying that word now feels horrible because of the way everyone acts like they're taking over), Keynesian economics and supporting the rich. I also believe that investment bankers are not scum sent here by Satan. My dad happens to be one so it'd be a bit strange if I turned around and called him that.
