Public Execution

After some deep and profound thought on the subject matter, i've come to focus my view...

I feel that the medieval public execution is out dated and has had it's day....

I think we should take full advantage of the modern human beings infatuation for '' reality '' and have a weekly tv show, of their doom....

We can't have it on Monday because we got Monday Night Raw....We also have Smackdown later in the week....

Friday, everybody just wants to forget ab out work and chill...

Saturday, everybody is trying to catch an STD in time for monday to compare notes with their friend...

Sunday, everyone is either at the garden center or half dead due to the antics of Saturday....

I think Wednesday would be best.

So we'll call it...

Wheel Of Woe Wednesday

Basically it's a reality game show with a big wheel which has CODS ( causes of death ) Which ever it lands on is your fate...

For example.. If it lands on ( The Woe-house ) which is basically a massive booby-trapped fun house. then the nation gets to see your ass run through a '' it's a knock out '' style house of doom. with loads of HD-quality camera's... Might even bring in some big nasty clowns to chase them down with chainsaws.

Or it could land on the good old noose...

Maybe it lands on IRONY... which is simple really, whichever way your victim died, you have done to you....

I think if we opened up an internet voting system and a text vote during the shows aswell we're onto a winner... we can even have a red button feature for our more interactive viewers...

Get the national lottery to do their shows on our show, so everyone is a winner!

I think it's got legs....

Happy Sunday everyone. :p

Public execution should only be carried out for the worst of crimes in a very tame way. Little or no pain to the victim, no mess to clean up, etc. If they feel like they should rot in prison for the rest of their lives for killing 10 people, there is something wrong with that person. Execution is needed.
What do we achieve with public executions? Humiliate the condemned and his family, and maybe a feeling of revenge. But we should not have a need to do that. I want punishment based on justice, not revenge. Revenge have little to do with justice. Justice is based on laws, revenge is based on feelings. Justice based on feelings is an impossibility.

What is public executions doing with the society? It makes violence more acceptable and reduces the value of life. If you see people getting killed many times, then killings becomes normal. Knowing that the state does it behind locked doors is one thing, making it a public circus will have a much bigger effect on people.
I do not oppose death penalty, but I'm against public execution regardless of crime. Even for terrorists like Osama bin Laden and Anders Breivik.

By the way, execution is not a way to punish criminals, the only ones who are punished are their family and whoever loves them. Once they are dead their punishment is over. But capital punishment is a way to get rid of a problem, and perhaps it deter people from committing serious crimes. And I guess waiting x years for the execution is a harsh punishment.

I dont see the difference between execution and public execution.

They are just as cruel to me.

If someone thinks it's totally ethical to kill someone without getting punished what's so wrong about showing it in public?
