i guess some of you should already know this, especially those of you who followed E3 this year.
but those who don't, microsoft have announced they are taking the next step in motion sensor gaming, by allowing us to control games with our full body, and not even having to hold anything which is pretty amazing...anyway at the moment its being called "project natal" (silly name i know) but obviously will be changed! (i hope)

Natal uses cameras and a microphone mounted to a wii style sensor bar to detect the user and it recognizes movement, talking and can even tell age differences.
the system includes-

  • voice and face recognition
  • video chatting
  • speech commands
so for instance, imagine you can see your video library on your xbox, you can scroll through it with just a wave of the hand, and say play movie to get it started.
another example is racing games, hold an imaginary wheel and get playing.

so yeah this all sounds pretty impressive and i just wanted to get your opinions on it, oh and it will be for 360, so no buying a new console just to use this.
:D:D:D:D:D

such a technology, you bet it will be more expensive than your xbox , but damn i have a ps3

I don't think it will burn too much of a whole in your pocket in terms of how much it will cost, because the idea is to compete with the wii and raising the price sky high will mean people will be swayed more towards getting a wii or sticking with their wii's.

I actually do have a 360 though, but the Video cable lost it's sheet, and know it doesn't work. Better get a new one, I guess. Thankfully, games for windows live is basically the LIVE experience, on the PC.

I love the idea of it, and how you don't need a controller, but at the moment its like 50/50 whether its going to work as well as its written on paper, i got rid of my 360ages ago, but if the right games came out for this then i would definitely consider getting another.

I'm not too keen i mean it looks cool but i'm not all that interested, and i'd probably have to take the couch out my room.It will be cool for little things though like playing a game with a controller, but when you make little hand gestures you could tell people to go or if you smile the character does or in game people comment on it.

I think that would be awesome for gears of war. That milo demonstration thing was just weird though man, i think that milo kids a freak i'd rather go talk to a real person...unless i'm abusing milo of course. As its been said, its the next skynet lol.

That sounds awesome! I wish I wasn't broke :\

it won't be out for quite some time yet.
E3 was only two months ago i think, and thats when it was announced, so we got quite a wait till its released.

terrible news for ps3 players

i think sony will step up there game and come up with their own version, its the way things are..one company does it, and the rest will follow.

PS3 made like a better version of the wiimote it was an E3 video.I dunno when thats out but.
