One of my good friends is from Calgary, Canada and she loves it. I would also recommend Canada over the USA because Canada has free health care and equal rights for all people.
Even though they are plenty of archaic people in Canada, I will give major props to our nationwide, government recognized marriage equality. And our healthcare system is just proof it could be done in the States and they're really just spinning their wheels.
