Holiday Gift Lists

Sonnentreppe

wordy agronaut
1. What are you hoping to get this holiday season?

2. What have you bought for others (or plan to be getting for them)?

I've asked for Levels 1 - 5 of the French Rosetta Stone and some moneys to get my Mac fixed.

I'm actually nearly done my Christmas shopping...

My mommy gets a nice set of lamps that she really liked from Bombay.
Daddy gets a three-tiered drink dispenser for the bar and a pair of Tommy Hilfiger jeans.
And then I got my sister Playboy perfume, an iTunes card, a shot glass roulette drinking game, Big Bang Theory pint glasses, zebra print costers, and this weird Eiffel Tower tealight holder.
And then I've picked up some bath and body works gift sets for my close friends (or at least for the ones I buy for).

"Guess? (anything really)
Express (jeans, maybe jackets but expensive)
American Apparel (deep v-necks)
Threadless (t-shirts)

La Nuit De Lhomme by Yves Saint Laurent
I’m also into jewelry lately . . . no nickel, and I prefer stuff I can just fit over my head
Poetry:
Anne Sexton
Louise Gluck (“Poems 1962-2012” would be nice)

Films:
um . . . you seem to know what I like (Joan Crawford, Bette Davis, Marilyn Monroe, Meryl Streep, Goldie Hawn. Carlize Theron, Angelina Jolie . . . can’t go wrong)"

bought -
mom: chanel no. 5
dad: 2 old-school cd's
brother/wife: $50 gift card
sister: infusion by prada
sister's fiance: the avengers (blue ray)
nephew: arkham asylum (360)
niece: fisher price toy

I want 35$ to get my xbox fixed. And perhaps Silent Hill Downpour.
Unfortunately I don't have money to get anything for anyone else :(

PS. Please say christmas! I have never heard of someone saying they were offended by saying christmas. And its so annoying how theree trying to pass some kinda law to have a christmas tree be called a holiday tree.

I guess no one's Christian anymore :( (Also no offense to sonnentreppe.)

I think it's more that Christians just aren't the only people who have holidays in December.
I understand that, but I here people don't say Christmas because it offends people who celebrate Hanukkauh and Kwanza.

So? This forum is very diverse. I'm sure we have people of all religions here, and most of the holidays in December involve giving gifts. It's not as if Christmas is universal. It doesn't offend people to say Christmas, it's just ignorant to lump them all into the same holiday.

I am hoping to get Borderlands 2, Hitman: Absolution, Need for Speed: Most Wanted (2012), Yakuza: Dead Souls, and a new Duck Dynasty T-Shirt.

As for what I brought other people, I bought some lotion and some body spray for some of my friends at school (All of the friends I'm buying gifts for are young women. I can't buy any of my friends that are guys any gifts because I am painfully low on money and what I do have is being saved for fuel which I'm going to need soon, and they'll probably ask for something that I can't afford.).

1. Some good books, gaming and otherwise, and some gosh-darned peace and quiet. The books will happen. The peace and quiet really won't.

2. Steve's getting films and games - standard stuff in our house

Jessica is getting an ipod dock

Jake is getting a balance bike and some sensory items

Josh is getting a shape-sorter and an Aquadraw

My niece Abi is getting some money at the request of her parents.

Everyone else can swivel - we don't bother with adults at Christmas...

Would Ms. Femme like anything from Meg? A back rub perhaps? ;)

Annnd! I want a couple CDs, this book on media and stuffs, a couple show seasons, er....some games. You know, stuff.

And onto the more fun topic! I gots my mommy Brave on BluRay. She hasn't seen it yet and reaaaally wants to. I also got her some earrings. And my sister is getting gas money. XD That's what she wants. Oh! And my dad is getting a framed Phillies picture to hang on his wall.

My wishlist: Vinyl, blu-rays, or games. Anything is fine really, I'm not picky. :P Money is wonderful too.

For others: Clothes, video games, board games, movies, gift cards, and such.
