Does anybody know how to fix my little Xbox 360 problem?

I'm having a problem with my Xbox 360 and I was wandering if anyone could help me with it. I sent an e-mail to Microsoft about the problem, but I don't think that they will respond to me and even if they did they will probably say "We're sorry, we don't understand your problem."

Here is what's been happening. I'm having 2 problems, a controller problem and an adapter problem.

Controller Problem - It won't connect to my Xbox 360 for more than half the time. I pressed the button on both the console and my controller to search for each other, they did find each other, but the controller will still not connect. Some times if I turn my controller off and turn it back on and the controller the controller will connect, but for more than half the tries they won't connect.

Adapter Problem - I will have my controller attached to my console and when I turn my console on, the adapter won't turn on. I did take it out and I did plug it back in and it did turn on, but my console will not recognize my adapter and if I go to wireless network with the adapter turned on then I will get this message "Please connect a Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter". I did turn off my console, took everything off my console, plugged the adapter back in, turned the console on, and it still gives me the same problem.

The last thing that happened before all this was that the electricity to my house blinked-off for a split-second. I don't know if that contributted to the problem.

I would appreciate it if someone can help me because I can't afford to buy a new Xbox 360, a wired controller, or an adapter at the moment.

EDIT: I just got an e-mail from Microsoft and I should've known that this would've happen. They didn't even tell me how to fix the problems. They redirected me to a Troubleshooting page for controllers and headsets. Apparently they didn't read my message and only read the part about my controller having trouble. So far I may have a solution to my problems and I'm going to try it soon.

controllr problem, just buy a connector cord to plug ur controller into ur 360, i know cuz my only controller doesn't connect.
as for the adaptor, u might ned a new one, there about 60.00 up at first national.

Assuming you tried all the basic home trouble shooting...turning off and on, unplugging cables, etc.
Sounds like your XBOX was screwed up (as opposed to the controller). I would guess it was the controller, but it's a problem through both a wireless connection and a wired one. From a hardware standpoint that means both your wireless and your USB ports (all of them) would have to be broken the same exact way... unlikely. Your software is more than likely screwed up...probably some driver or other. Since you don't get to tinker with the XBOX software at home, you're gonna need a new box or get Microsoft to refurb it for you.... up to you.

One thing you could try... If you have more than one controller you could try getting one to connect to port 2 before the first connection fizzles out. It's not the ideal way to play your games, but it could be a short-term workaround until you figure it out.

When you are ****ed enough to annoy them into agreeing to refurb it for you, just call them at 1-800-4MY-XBOX (number may vary outside of US)

I got my console fixed. Turns out all I had to do was unplug all the cords from my system and wait a few minutes and that finally fixed it.
