Uncategorised Discarded the mansion key

Basically on my current save file playing the remake I discarded the mansion key before I realized you had to examine the back of it to make the sword key. So without the sword key I can't get to the balcony to call the dog with the whistle and get the imitation key.

I'm assuming I have to restart now, which won't be all that bad because I can conserve ammo better the second time around.

If there's another way to get the key though any help would be nice.

did it give you the option to discard?
but yeah most likley sounds like you will have to restart and keep your eyes open this time round.

Who are you playing as? Chris? If so, you just have to use one of the small keys that Chris uses instead of the lockpick.

You'd better restart. That's the fist part of the game anyway it will take you less than 5 minutes to get the key again.

Thanks for the responses guys, ended up restarting anyways for other reasons too, but second time around I made sure to examine every key I found.
