Im thinking of getting Directors cut to finish off my ps1 collection of the Resident evil games. Anyway, how hard is arrange mode? Does it increase the difficulty? I know it changes the locations of every item and monster though.

Yep, it's more difficult. Enemies deal double doumage I believe and they need more shots to die.
And the fact that the location of monsters/enemies is dffirenet makes it more difficult as well because you'll be taken aback by surprise.. on your first run at least

Oh so the arrange mode is the hardest and not the easiest as is the case with RE2. No Wonder. This game has 2 modes ultra hard and ultra super hard specially with the extremely limited ammo.
the director's cut really isnt anything special other than the enemies being a little harder and items are in different locations..i was really dissapointed in this as i thought it was going to open up new locations or characters and whatnot but nope...basically just items in different places from the original..bascially a scheme to get your money..
The camera angles are also different from the original in certain areas as well. Be careful so it doesn't throw you off.
enemy placement is the biggest problem for me in arrange mode. I dont mind the items bein moved around as it makes you search all over again like its your first time playing. Its the parts where the game starts bein cocky when the hunters come out. Maybe its just me but it seems the hunters double in this mode, seriously their like 3 or 4 in a hallway sometimes. No way can u dodge four at once. I use the red jewel/ magnum ammo trick and just wipe em all out 
I found out the hard way that in arrange mode enemies do double damage. All i want to do is fill my nostalgic mind with beating RE all over again but it was a nightmare dying to yawn multiple times and shooting a spider 6 times with the shotgun doesnt kill it ruined my mood for the night.
