I understand your feeling, knowing your favorite character has no information or news about their appearance is worse rather than your favorite character change into villain.
Yeah, I'd totally be okay with her being a villain. It'd be pretty cool imo, instead of assuming she never made it out of Raccoon. I think at this point Capcom doesn't know what to do with a lot of older characters and they're trying to figure out whether or not they should kill them offscreen or put them back in a title in a cameo.
I've just seen it. It's indeed amazing.
There's a lot of fan-service in the movie, you can recognize some RE4 scenes in different context such as Ada's fight scene, Leon wearing his RE4 suit etc. But that's good I think, because it shows that the creators wanted to please their audience.
The animations also improved a LOT since Degeneration, the fight scenes look really spectacular. However the talking animations, especially Svetlana's and Ada's could have been better, sometimes it looks like they are talking with closed mouth.
Also like the idea that they brought back more B.O.W.-s for the film, including Lickers and Tyrants. I think that's what have been missing in the first movie, where there was only a G-mutation and zombies.
What I didn't like in the movie, is that there's some scenes that don't make sense. (See below as high-lighted text since some of them contain spoilers)
-Buddy used the Master Plaga on himself, so he could control the Lickers. Master Plaga supposed to control Ganados/Majini. How could it control Lickers, if they are from different viruses: Plaga <----> T-virus/Progenitor virus?
-The Tyrant killed the Lickers with one blow. But when Leon got punched by 'Mr X', he flew like 20 meters and hit a building's pillar, which would practicly paralyze anyone, lol, but he gets up without a scratch.
Aside from that, I really enjoyed the film. Kudos to the creators for making this, they really did a great job. And if Paul W.S Anderson saw this movie, he should consider a change of career. Because Damnation makes his cashcow adaptations look like a gigantic pile of &@#>.(Not like you need Damnation to know that, though LOL)

that Lickers were basically what's left of Tricell's. the Master Plaga was actually the one that Ada took it from Saddler back in RE4 - it's in the report, it's actually really called an "Alpha Plagas Sample (dominant-straint plaga)" in the Japanese version. Irving used that in RE5 (which was imperfect) but now with the new tech (according to the movie), it has improved.
the one that Buddy used most probably better than the previous one that Krauser, Salazar and Irving used.
it's a safe bet that those Lickers can be controlled.
The lickers Buddy used were infected with plagas, and buddy used a control plaga on himself. That's how he could control them. The base was a normal licker, made using the t-virus, and then using the plaga. Like they used the Nemesis parasite on a T-103 to control them, creating the Nemesis-t Type
Is there any type of clue in Damnation that can lead to a theory on the C-Virus and Neo-Umbrella?

if it was Simmons at the end, then could Neo-Umbrella be a secret agency hiding within the Government? and could it be the organization Ada is working for and Wesker was working for?

in my opinion, the whole thing of controlling the B.O.W. is lead to C-virus production since the J'avo are working together, can think, etc. so i'm sure they probably get orders from someone who controlling them.
at the end, i'm pretty sure it's Simmons. even in the RE6 trailer, we can actually know about the whole Neo-Umbrella hiding within the government - Helena been tortured by Simmons, the whole Tall Oaks population and the President died due to Simmons according to Leon.
I watched the movie yesterday, and it's not quite what I was expecting after all that hype and the long time we had to wait. It's quite alright, not bad, but I've seen better movies. I liked Leon in this one, but all in all I prefer Degeneration.
The best scene was the fight between Ada and the president. It was so unexpected! When Ada started getting physical, I thought: "That's it for you, Lady President!" ... And then it turns out she can handle herself better than anyone else. I would have loved so see her in a fight against the lickers.
Other than that, however, there was not much to impress me. I never knew who was good or bad in this movie, and I didn't understand the story. I eventually figured out why Leon was in that country in the first place, but why wasn't he allowed, according to Hunnigan, to enter the war zone? Why did that licker guy want him dead every now and then? And what was the president's goal after all? Is she good or evil? Well, it's always like this. As soon as it gets political, my brain just disconnects.
And seriously, after all these games and movies, they should have thought up another reason for Ada to be there than to once again obtain a sample of whichever virus. It's been used too often.

I just watched it on bluray, I loved it. The story was really good, not what I was expecting but not bad at all. The whole controlling the BOWs thing was weird to me at first, until I realized that they done that type of stuff in the games. Im glad they made Leon look more like Leon this time and gave him more character. Nice to see Ada, even though she is always really predictable in her motives. And I really enjoyed to Tyrants, any fan has gotta love that battle at the end... remember the tank..ha.. that was awesome... I won't spoil anything, lol. Just go watch it.
Saw the movie two days ago! It was super sweet! Seriously I was so impressed with the CG and character design. Wish that there was another RE character in it other than Leon and Ada. Like someone please mention what the **** happened to Claire, Rebecca C., Chris, Jill etc? I dont know if anyone can answer this but. Dont you think that Leon and Claire had enough time to talk about regular stuff after surviving and she mentioned to him her brother, thats how he got involved in the BSAA right? So Doesnt Leon know who Chris R is? Just weird that he singles himself out and doesnt mention anyone else he works with on the BSAA.
Overall the movie was bad ass! And Ada was sick! Leon a hotty, love how he was drinking in the end. The bonding with the lickers was crazy, and still cant get my mind around it. what a horrific thing.

While this movie was good, it made me dislike Leon a lot. He didn't try to save anyone! They could have saved the soldier that was running from the ganados, but Leon was the one that told DJ to leave him. He did the same thing with that soldier on the floor in the corridor, although he was a little bit more helpless. I just found myself thinking 'if Claire, Chris or Jill were in that situation they would have tried to save them'.
This movie had me rooting for the lickers lol, when the tyrant was chasing the licker to the petrol tank I really wanted it to get away

I agree with you about that part, at least Leon can try to save the soldier even maybe it will be failed due he is outnumber

When I saw the Mr X Tyrants back, that was the happiest moment I had in RE history since RE4.
IMO the first half of the movie was kinda "meh", but the ending part with the Mr X fights, when ever I rewatch the movie I just skip to the Mr X fights. I f**king love that part of the movie!!
When me and my girlfriend saw the trailer and we saw Ada's new look, we felt like we were gonna throw up, but after seeing her from different shots in the movie, she's still as sexy as ever

If i read this right: Leon ISN'T in the BSAA. He worked as the presidents personal body guard for a bit and now works with the government. He's not a BSAA agent like Chris.
Leon never became BSAA member.
