Christmas Gifts

Airaku

Stray Jedi
Christmas is almost here and I thought it would be neat for everyone to share what they got for their family and friends!

I've had no time to go Christmas shopping but today I did it! And I did it all in one outing which was nice! It makes me sad that this year I couldn't give as much as I normally do. I tend to go really overboard with Christmas. I even brought my parents a new T.V. one year sooo yeah >.< This year I've been in school full time so there is no time for a job and my car broke down costing me $650. So I need to budget better.

This is what I got my family this year. My nieces will be so happy with their stuff ^.^ The books are for my parents for our trip to Mexico and the booze is for my sister and brother-in-law. The Japanese stuff is for my mom's stocking LOL. The past few years we've been doing a secret Santa stocking and it's supposed to be silly. This is what I'm doing this year. Turning her Japanese xD

I honestly still haven't gotten all my presents for everyone yet, and I feel kind of bad because everybody's done shopping for my presents.
What I've bought so far: Some jewelry for my best friend, some Beatles stuff for my mom, a watch for my dad, some movies for my sister, and of course, brand new cat toys for the cats (though Jasmine is still quite taken with her gingerbread man, Gingi Mikami). I also did some baking the other day and I'll be taking the stuff that's left to the family dinner on Christmas.
I think I know more of what I'm getting than what I'm getting everyone else. xD

That is awesome! You got some good stuff and it's so awesome of you to get your pets Christmas presents. I used to do that a lot back when :) It is really cute. That is awesome that you are going to be making Christmas dinner. Definitely some cool stuff you got.

My mum recently got a smartphone, so I've bought her a memory card for it since she doesn't have enough storage, and some slippers because she goes through them like nothing.

I got my dad some vintage shirts of his favourite football team.

I got my brother a leather belt and some shower products.

My sister and her boyfriend are sharing a present this year, I got them these really cool water speakers! :D (Skip to 0:59 to see them in action).

I got my girlfriend A Silver Knight Celtic Cross necklace
and
Got my only likable teacher a Silver Ring.

The only two worth giving anything to
And I got myself two games.

-Xenoblade Chronicles X
-Dying Light

I feel all giddy inside now.

Mom: two sweaters, bath beads, After Eight chocolate mints, a gift basket of Bailey's w/ tumblers and I sponsored a polar bear from WWF Canada in her name.

Dad: Crown Royal gift basket, a retro popcorn maker, and Pot of Gold chocolates.

My sister: Two bracelets, a ruby ring from Peoples Jewellers, a koala bear from WWF, bath beads, and Eiffel Tower wall decals/art.

Sponsored a giant panda for my old landlord/roommate/second Mommy Kimberley, a book for my friend, boot-shaped shot glasses another friend, and I'm baking peanut butter blossoms for my aunts and uncles that live around here.

I got my little brother a nintendo backpack.
I got my little sister a cute, little gothic chain wallet with a skull on it.
Something they can use everyday for the rest of their lives.

Well I washed and vacuumed out my mom's car. Since I want her to have something to open on Christmas, I got her a pack of macadamia nuts because they are her favorite but also really expensive. For my sister, I got her a Wawa gift card (she always needs gas) and some food and stuff for her rabbit. For my dad, I got him a book about his favorite TV show. :)

I actually really like the way my family does gifts. We all get together in October (Me, my wife, my granny, my dad, my step mom, my grandpa, and my aunt), and we all draw one name. Whoever you get is the only person you buy for, as well as of course your spouse. I drew my Granny, which is who I wanted to draw. Not only that, but my roommate, Sean, was raised Jehovah's Witness, so he's never had a Christmas, so this year we are giving him a Christmas he'll remember tonight on Christmas Eve.

My eldest (Jessica): an Ipad home recording studio plus a mic stand to go with it

My middle (Jake): some basic pre-school toys (he doesn't really play with anything but because he has asked specifically for these items, we've gone with it)

My youngest (Josh): racing car, toy garage, toy trumpet and some art and craft items - he's so stupidly excited by Christmas this year it's quite nice.

Jake tries to get into the spirit but he doesn't fully understand what's happening, so the fact that Josh is squealing like a little girl all the time about Santa and presents is pretty cool. Obviously my eldest is 14 so she doesn't care about anything that isn't attached to her iphone.

My eldest niece, Abi, has got a book and a craft set and my youngest niece, Megan, is only 9 weeks old so she's got a lullaby light show toy thingy and an activity toy.

My dad got an antique ear trumpet - he's recently gone deaf, which we all find hilarious, and so we are taking the mick out of him for as long as it takes to get boring. Which, considering after more than 30 years of him being blind has not ceased to amuse us, will take some time indeed. He, in turn, has given both me and my sister some hideous out-of-date Camembert because he knows we hate the smell and he likes to wind us up.

My step-mum likes the finer things in life so we filled a large glass jar with posh bits and pieces for her.

My mum and step-dad don't really do gifts, so we're just going to put on a Boxing Day meal for them instead.

My sister and brother-in-law get a little bag of joke gifts and they do the same for us.

Steve is getting some t-shirts, books, games, and a few jokey gifts.
