Canon problem

I'm concerned, does the Umbrella Chronicles and Dark-side Chronicles replace the canon of the games they are based on, I know the Russia level and the south America part are canon, but what about say, the RE2 levels in Dark-side Chronicles?

Is it now canon that Clair and Leon were together instead of separate instead of 'Clair A, Leon B' being the canon story?

They mixed it up. It is still canon due that they all share the same story from the orignals. However some of the parts are not canon, like Jill and Chris never went with each other in the orginal, and that Yawn was never fought in the library.

So basically it is a mix of canon and non-canon elements.
