Well I'd say the obvious thing would be to add the person on Msn or Yahoo messenger if they use and have it.
You could PM the specific user to ask them for their email so you can add them I suppose, or people could put just their email address here, but I don't really see many people opting to go with that option.

There's no chat in this forums, but if you need to chat with someone, you can chat over instant messaging programs.
