Hi,

I am new to this forum, so first of all a nice and friendly "Hello, how are you?"

Some friends and collegues of me and myself, all of us filmmakers, are big fans of the Resident Evil game series. However most of us are not really happy how the Movies turned out. Of the people I have spoken with so far some may consider them good action flicks, others say they are dumbed down for gaining the most profit possible. But nearly everyone said, they don't have much in common with the original survival horror games.

However over the past year and a half we gave it our own shot and created a series of trailers for what could be a more accurate adaptation of the first game.

Now the first small teaser is out I would like to share it with you guys, provided you would like to see it.
It is the first of seven shorts which will be released in the next couple of weeks.



I would really like to hear what you think about it.

awesome, reminds me of the opening scene of the first game (trust me this is not meant as an insult, the opposite infact)
i like how the jill video soundtrack is simmilar to the "cast" soundtrack from the opening scene too,

Thank you. In fact it is a great compliment for us. We tried to pay hommage to the original games. So I' glad people notice.
 
I think it's cool in the way that it may serve as an inspiration to what a different RE Universe might be like for movie makers and fans alike. They also make cool RE game commercials.

As far as these being clips from an actual RE movie, well...it seems very 80's, early 90's action style movie. I realize the emphasis is on the iconic characters of Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield, but the presentation seems already more actiony than horror. I'm sure it isn't easy to convey the horror aspect in tiny one minute teasers, but I would think that would be the original goal? Especially if you're coming from the "disappointed in the RE film franchise" side of things. In other words, I think it is an admirable effort and your passion for the franchise is apparent however; it already gives me an action movie vibe from these clips. Not to mention, they really are a throwback to older action moves.

Just giving you my honest feedback, food for thought. Thanks for sharing and I wish you well on your RE projects.
