Resident Evil Zero Anybody playing zero for the first time with the HD remaster?

Weirdly, I remember that when I played the game in 2004, the Eliminators were giant albino zombie apes. When I played through last year, I was shocked that they were so... small. I didn't think they were a major threat though. They can be run past unless in groups. Then they're just annoyances! JUST like the Leech Monsters.

The monkey can be easy killed whit shotgun so not much of a treath

Yes! Just joined this forum and also just finished the first game in the HD remaster for Nintendo Switch! I've never played the OG game sooo I wouldn't know anything else...

I have it on PS3 but I never finished it.. it got boring and less interesting. Dropping items on the ground and picking them up later didn't help.

Shure was.. RE4 was the reason why I had a gamecube.. well it wasn't mine. I'm thinking about playing zero since I beat RE1remake again. Anyone else here think zero is boring after the train part??

I’ve seen this sentiment here and there. I think everyone gets too hung up on there not being an item box, but when I played it I didn’t really have anything to do at the time. So I didn’t mind managing the items 24/7 and the amount of backtracking, I actually thought it was amusing.

I wouldn't say boring necessarily, but I will say that I think the train could've been utilized more and was a bit of a missed opportunity. I went into the game thinking it was going to be a bigger thing than it was, but the train wasn't very expansive and the section was a little short so I was a bit disappointed.

Yeah the train was definitely a high. There was this climatic charm to it that you’d expect to see at the end of a game and not the start.

The opening part was for shure the best part, I really thought the game was going to deliever... but I mostly kept dropping stuff and switching characters the last time I played it. It got a little anoying.. combined with you're parter running out of ammo and dies because of low health. Guess I'll try it again because It's the only RE game I played but didn't finish yet.

@1995umk3 It's a decent enough game, some of the inventory management is a little annoying. My best advice if you do decide to go through the game again: utilize 'safe' areas as hubs for extra heals and key items.

Also, don't make the mistake I made: if the key item doesn't disappear after you use it, you're not done with it. Keep it in your inventory until your next safe hub, and go back and get it before moving on.

Thanks for the tips everyone. I will have to start all over again because I don't remember which e-mail had the game on my PS3. Is emulation frowned upon here??

Not that I know of, but I'm honestly not sure. I don't think I've ever heard anyone give a strong opinion either way.

Well.. I once had every paid version of RE I played.. I was a huge fan untill I saw RE5. I sold all my RE stuff on ebay. Will buy RE4remake or RE7 someday for shure when I'm ready.

I made it pretty far in RE0 when I last played... think it was a place where you rotate something and there is animal status around it. I ran out of healing items and ammo and couldn't get far no matter homany times I tried. It was a chore to play and I forced myself to play with the item dropping thing and character switching. I will try and finish it again after I try RE4remake.

I first played it for PS4 but then later I got the Reisident Evil Origins Collection for Nintendo Switch that comes with Resident Evil Zero that I do enjoy!

Good to see REzero fans. My PS3 just broke so I don't think I will ever finish RE0. But it was great (frustrating) while it lasted.
