Not a really old age for a nation, but not very young either. So please excuse the wrinkles on my flag.
Before July 18th A.D. 872, we were a bunch of petty kingdoms that were busy killing and looting each other, but on that day one of the viking kings, Harald Fairhair, won a decisive battle (a naval battle of all things) and that was the start of the unification of Norway.
