I have heard that Avengers is like the creme de la creme and I do want to see it a bit. (Thor and CA are still on my to-do list.) What Spider-Man movies are you talking about? The original trilogy or the Amazing Spider-Man taking it back to Gwen Stacy?
I wanted to see the first one but never got around to it. I didn't really like the original trilogy so I was a bit skeptical about watching the new one but I heard good things about it.
The new one is actually better, but I like the original trilogy as well...Even though I can admit it wasn't amazing...No pun intended now that I think about it...
Well, I love how she dies though. It was SO emotional knowing that it wasn't Goblin that killed her...It was him...Besides, Mary Jane is out of the picture now too so...
She's out of the picture in the comics? Really? What happened? (I mean I know in HoM it messed Peter up to know that his perfect world, the world he wished for, involved him being married to Gwen only to have it ripped away again when Scarlet Witch set the world back but I don't really keep up with SM so I have no idea what's going on in his world.)
Well, in a Nuthshell, Amazing Spider-Man is over. It ended with Peter Dying. Sort of. Doc. Ock was dying, so he switched bodies with Peter. Peter dies in Ock's body, leaving Ock alive in Peter's body. But they say when you die, your life flashes before your eyes, so Peter's life flashed before Ock's eyes, and he realized the Peter was truly a hero.
He then vowed to take up the role a Spider-Man, but a better Spider-Man. A Superior Spider-Man (Hence the new comics being called Superior Spider-Man), and to make a more effective hero, he cut Mary Jane out of the picture...
Everyone from his life dide...It showed Gwen, Harry, Uncle Ben...Everyone. Including all of Peter's loves. All Seven I think there were. And he was about to Kiss Mary Jane, then he realized how much Peter Truly loved her, and he though it would compromise his mission as a savoir to New York to put her above all else, so he runs off before finishing the kiss, and just cuts her out...
Of course he has; he's not Peter. I'm just not sure how well I'd like a non-Peter Spider-Man. Hell I didn't much like Peter as Spider-Man. Eh, different strokes for different folks, I guess.
I'll be honest, he's a MUCH more efficient hero. He does all his hero work based on shades of Black and White, where as Peter always had the Shades of Grey that made him fail in a lot of instances...
