I'm cautiously optimistic. I really enjoyed the demo and it has atmosphere. While it didn't have the original RE feel it has a survival horror feel. It's a step in the right direction.
I agree with all of these. The qte's take me out of a game. I know Capcom (along with many other companies) are looking to stay relevant and change, but let's hope they deliver with RE7.

I like your ideas and agree, I think some modern enhancements would be ideal. Nothing extreme but to make the gameplay mechanics smoother. I think that's always been a negative with RE games.
As a fan of arcade games like Time Crisis, House of the Dead, etc I really enjoyed it. As a Resident Evil game I still liked it, probably rank it in the middle of all of the games.
Most recent theater experience was Deadpool. A buddy and I was going to see Batman Vs Superman tomorrow but in light of the poor reception, and no early showings, we may see Hardcore Henry instead. Currently watching the final season of Justified and re-watching House M.D.
